[Mar 7, 2015] The 10th South Central/East Surrey Rolling Road Day: £30! (Farnborough)

The 10th Annual Surrey Rolling Road Day. I am taking over organisation from @Saner who I'd like to thank for doing a brilliant job over the years.

Venue: Surrey Rolling Road (http://www.surreyrollingroad.co.uk/)

Address:
34 Invincible Road
Farnborough
Hampshire
GU14 7QU

Cost: £30 per car (£35 per car if less than 20 cars run). Discounted from normal cost of £40 per car.

Number of Runs:
As many as it takes to get a stable reading, most places will stop at 3, Charlie will keep going until he, and you, are happy.

What else do I get?: You get a printed whp and fhp charts (with bhp, torque and afr), drinks are on site and great banter! I'm going to try to get funding from CS for some food/snacks providing enough people attend.

Date & Time: Saturday 7th March 10.00am onwards, and usually runs till between 12pm and 1pm.

Who can run their car?: Anyone! FWD, RWD, 4WD and AWD (Please ask re 4WD & AWD as some systems are harder to calculate). Although organised by myself and Cliosport, please invite your friends to run their cars. What matters most is getting enough people together to have a good time.

As mentioned above this will be the 10th day organised at this rolling road, first time at the new location, and something which is becoming more and more popular.

Why here and not elsewhere?: Surrey Rolling Road is an independent business which quite simply means they have nothing to prove, no product claims to achieve. Charlie and his colleagues have been running for nearly 10 years being the choice of tuners and individuals to independently test their modifications, they simply tell you how it is. The Rolling Road used is made by Dyno Dynamics, widely regarded as one of the more accurate in trade.

Attendees in the past have asked to try out different cold air feed set up and Charlie has been happy to oblige. Many members use this day as a kind of car health check, comparing performance to previous results from the same rolling road.

If your car isn't performing as well as it should on the day, SRR are happy to answer any questions and suggest possible causes.

The day is about socialising and meeting up with fellow enthusiasts. After all the runs have been performed we will move on to a local pub for some good food and possibly some pictures.

I would be grateful if those running would give me a deposit of £10 as soon as possible therefore only paying £20 on the day. This is to confirm numbers and get people to commit. Also means we can arrange for food, drinks and snacks if enough people are coming.

Payment: Please gift to my Paypal address, timhart231 at hotmail.com, as soon as possible!

Hi, when would the latest for confirmation be?
I was planning to have a run at SRR once my rebuild is done which should be mid feb - so potentially perfect timing. But I don't want to part with any cash yet until I know the car is running and finished on time just incase there are any delays.

Cheers

That's fine, you can turn up on the day but priority will be given to those who have confirmed. Deposits are used to get people to commit and ensure we have good turn out so we get the £30 rate.

I'm well up for this, do you know if I was to take an IK with me, if I did 2 runs, one with the standard box and one with the kit, that it would be £30 for each or both?

How long would it take to swap over? I don't see it as an issue if it's a quick swap but I would have to check with Charlie at Surrey Rolling Road.

Start time has changed to 10am after speaking to Charlie this morning.

On arrival please park outside on the road, taking care to avoid blocking any entrances to other businesses.
