Rob's Supercharged Trophy

  Hi comp phase 1
It might well be the most expensive bit of metal but it will make the most difference out of all the mods..well a part from the super charger!
Wouldn't mind getting a passenger ride in it when it's done Rob.. it's going to be a right weapon when it's done :up:
Good luck with it.

I really hope so mate!

Your more than welcome to jump in for a ride bud! Once she's up and running, I'll drop you a message and maybe with a few others arrange a little meet and a blast to a local pub?

I bet! That's a yummy chunk of metal.

I'ts been off the road for nearly a month now Andy, and its driving me crazy! I know it pales in insignificance to your Trophy. I don't know how you've managed to stay sane after all this time!

Me? Sane? I'm not sure where you got that impression from... :tonguewink: I'm lucky that I have the Type-R on the driveway (and I'm surrounded by superb driving roads) so I can't really complain. Coming from a Honda / Type-R background (before turning to the French-side) I do enjoy them, although I'd take the Trophy over it everyday. These little pink cars really get under the skin.

Your fortunate Andy! My only other 4 wheeled outlet, is either my VW Caddy, I use for work. Or my wife's Audi A4 avant, lol!

Not particularly inspiring!

Yes mate..that would great..count me in

Bet you can't wait try out all the new parts!?

Not sure what's happened with the message!

Fantastic read this, you've made this something special.

Cheers Joe that means a lot!

In hindsight I wish I never bought a Trophy. As to the purist ive probably ruined a 'special edition' and I would of been better off modifying a normal 182.

But that's hindsight for you, lol I can't do bugger all about it now. At the end of the day, I don't ever plan to let this car go. In which case residual values can do one! [emoji23]

Not sure what's happened with the message!

Very odd mate. Your right though, I cannot wait to try out all the new editions. I also ordered a pair of @JON FOZ lowered Recaro seat frames. Looking forward to see what a difference they make.

The gearbox, subframe etc is all back in! (Sorry for the lack of photos, but I'm crap, and when my hands are also covered in crap, taking a photo is the last thing on my mind!)

Along with the SACHS Racing clutch, and TTV lightened flywheel. Also replaced the steering rack bushes with some Powerflex items whilst it was accessible.

Gearbox has been filled with Redline MTL 75W-80 as recommended by @NorthloopCup

The car is still up on the two poster, but a quick check of the clutch pedal, and everything feels good. albeit much heavier, I can only imagine that's down to the SACHS. Traffic jams will be even more fun than normal!

Me and @KrisRS182 are going back down to the workshop tomorrow to finish all the odds and ends. I need to setup the Bilstein's, secure the exhaust properly, and then get it tracked! I also ordered a pair of @JON FOZ lowered Recaro seat frames, and I'm really looking forward to getting those fitted.

Then finally head out for a well overdue blast, and find a decent pub for a pint!

Pics and vids will follow... (Hopefully I won't forget!)

Damn you @RMDavis I really didn't need a demo of the charger and diff tonight. hilarious...4th gear just gets dispatched..(to 70mph of course).
Too much to think about..time to sell a kidney
Ace car.... and the curry house recommendation was good too.

It was great to meet you bud, and have a good chat!

I'm glad you like! Shame about the hose popping off, lol! It stayed on after the drive to work this morning, but I fully intend to replace that jubilee clip regardless.

Pleasure doing business with you, and I'm glad your meal at the Red Rose was decent. I've always had a good curry there.

I'm over the moon with the car! The Quaife is going to take a while to get used to though, and it won't be until she's on track till I can fully exploit it!

Totally off-topic... but are you anywhere near Farnham, Surrey? I might be spending a month or two down there on a contract job in the near future.

Basingstoke is about a 20 minute drive from Farnham bud. Infact I grew up there, lol!
Ah, ok - cool. If I pull it off (the contract that is - looking at you @NorthloopCup !) then I will give you a shout to see if you're around and free one evening. I'd like to see the supercharged beast. Naturally my touting for sex has to come first. The Trophy mod's have not come cheap. LOL!

Sounds good to me Andy I'll drop you a friend request via Facebook?

Aerocatches fitted. Not by me sadly as I haven't got the balls to drill various holes into my bonnet! Got XSport in Basingstoke to do them for me.

Saw your Clio in there too @green getting your top mounts replaced among other things?

Yes mate..my last top mounts had seen better days! So gone pms mounts and brace plus pms manifold back exhaust, you know what my old one was like.

Yours looked great..he was measuring your catches up when I dropped mine off, must be an absolute riot to drive. See you on the 10th:up:

Cheers bud!

You can't go wrong with Pure Motorsport's product's. I've been really impressed with everything I've ordered from Nick. Including those mounts and strut brace.

I look forward to a catch up on Tuesday mate!

Excellent news rob. Glad it's all back and your loving it.

How comes you've decided to fit aero catches?
Cheers Mark. She's going very well indeed, and I'm over the moon with how the car currently is!

Apart from being a massive tart, and always wanting a set of Aerocatches, they will allow me to do away with the original bonnet mechanism, and position my engine and supercharger coolers better.

Ah OK. I knew the bonnet catch had some issues a while back and there was a recall. I didn't know that the aero catches would benefit the charger coolers though. Makes sense I guess.

Plus, they look cool :)

I must pop over and check out your seat frames - I've got a set but I'm nervous about the clearance and I don't want to damage my 'ICE' ;) I'm not going to Blyton but maybe our local rep will organise a meet we can both attend?
