bank loans arent bad new thats pish. you always own the car.
finance is bad news but if people need a car and can afford it then no problem.
saved for my last car and bank loan before that.

A mixture of saving up and a birthday present. Cut my big nights out to just once a week instead of two/three nights. Its amazing how much you can save up by just going to your local instead of clubbing in town really. Its easy to spend over £100 on a Saturday night whereas at my local I end up spending £40 tops, even with a few rounds in!

Why wouldn't you use the banks money??! Control is much more ownerous then!! Fcuk using finance.

I bought my 172 with £5k hard cold cash in Feb 08. I then sold my old reliable 1.4 1998 Ibiza for £1.1k.

Cash was originally saved to put towards a house, with the recent house price crash I think I made the right choice.

I made use of the bank of dad + money from selling the Polo and it's associated bits. I've got a few years to pay him back and he's easier to deal with than a bank. Only this week I sold a Quaife differential for more than I paid for it, good times.

Nothing wrong with finance really, especially if you got it more than 6 months ago when interest rates were lower on loans
