You can do it yourself on a small budget mate - Not having a dig.

Best way IMO is to have a go yourself then you know how everything works. Im sure theres numerous people on here, myself included that would give you some tips.

I rekon if you set aside £60 youll have your paintwork covered for winter, bearing in mind youll have enough pre cleaner to do about 6 cars with, and enough wax to do god knows how many cars with. Just an Idea.....

This was what I used, and what a lot of people will use for winter. Theres enough in that basket to take care of your paintwork.

As said have a go yourself, then you'll have the bits come next time.

Or, should at i4detailing and get sample pots of britemax blackmax and extreme elements glaze and sealant, will be enough to do a full car once I'd have thought, I know the sealant was. That way you'll have more money to spend on the wash and decontamination stages that are the most important

There's been a few 'new to detailing what to order' threads recently to help you get started

Not quite as cheap but pretty much a full kit that just needs a sealant or wax, and a cleanser ready for next time. IMO the prep is the most Shopping Cart

£200 is more than enough mate, dont think you'll spend that much.

At the end of the day its down to you and everyone has their different opinions and requirements. You need two sets of s**t; The stuff to wash and dry your car properly, and the stuff to protect it.

I still think what I recommended is a good solid winter solution, one that will look good, provide long lasting protection and be economical. FK1000p is a tried and tested sealant and a favorite for winter and Tripple is a great All In One product which will leave a great finish and hide some swirls.

Heres what I'd recommend for washing, as its what I use. I prefer to use a Zymol Sponge but I go through about 4 a year and require a bit more care than a mitt IMO. No better or worse. See Clean Your Car

Coupled with the protection stage...

PS.

I believe that 90% of the paintwork damage is caused by drying towels, so look after them. Two bucket method during the wash stage will minimise swirls and wash marring, keeping the drying towels clean and storing them in a box when not using them is crucial IMO.

I forgot the wheels, stick a small detailing brush and a spray bottle with head in there and buy a wheel cleaner. Bilberry is OK, if you want something a little stronger I find Espuma Revolution is the best as its non acidic. Expensive in a 5ltr tub but dilutes incredibly well.
