Quality. Is the Meg manifold a straight bolt on!?

Checked the Immobiliser, removed and cleaned the crank sensor again, replaced coil pack, Cleaned up and swapped about the relays and fuses, checked and cleaned Earths, tried to start it, hovered a tin of petrol over the c**t, cried a little.

Tried to start it. Tried a cheap code reader on it. Cried a little.

Mine is the same at the backbox, I managed to just bend mine slightly so it wasn't making contact with anything. The noise also didn't sound like it was coming from the rear of the car either. Some people say it's fine to remove but I'm not sure if the heat shield protects the fuel tank at all...

I've ran winters year round a few times on different cars, it does give quite an interesting turn in when the weather improves 😊

Winter tyres operate much more effectively than summer tyres below 7 degrees, which it has been here for the past week. Winter tyres disperse snow like a normal tyre would water, summer tyres don't do this as well and fill up with snow effectively turning them into slicks! I wouldn't be without...

Good to hear, would have been interesting to do one before the other to see which made the difference. Turns out my crank sensor was an eBay job which was giving me my issue so maybe worth checking that too!

For anyone interested, I'm 99% sure my issue has been the sensor itself. For some reason I assumed that since the harness was Renault that the sensor would be too, so you sir..... Get 10 points! But thanks to all for the help and suggestions. Got a Renault sensor and the one that was fitted...

The tdc (crank) sensor is a common / easy check Other than that I've no idea! 🙈

I drive mine, 250 miles and a 5/6 hour round trip I would trailer if I had the option, but I don't!

My sensor is blue and doesn't look too dissimilar but certainly doesn't have the same info stamped on it so thanks for that! Ordered a new one this afternoon!
