I do believe it's due to not being able to make the bracket any smaller. Going off the 300mm ones I had the bolts to mount the bracket to the hub would be in the way.

Tie rods, track rod ends, ball joints, wishbone bushes, topmounts would all be worth checking over.

Not sure if it's the same on the Renault ones, but on the xu Peugeot engines you can buy springs that go in the pump for different pressures. Might be worth looking into if Renault do the same.

Just so you know the angle of the mist on the Peugeot/citroen ones vary on what car they are from. Xsara ones on mine are perfect. The 307 ones I fitted prior aimed at the wiper arms.

Youll need to see if your exsisting box has a spedo drive on it or not. Or they have the code stamped on the underside.
