17 years today I bought this 172 and still looking good on its birthday.

It's done 74k,not bad for 16 year old car.. Pleased I've still got it as cannot be many out there been owned from new.

A rare shot of my 2 ph1s together, as the one at the front normal covered up,owned it from brand new will get some better one when sun out.

I just use one at each side to stop the head and nut digging in. It's a solid joint with no movement.

M8 bolts about 40mm lenght can replace the renault ones,gasket is about £3 from euro car parts.

Yeh my cable is adjusted from inside the car under the handbrake cover. Been on to Renault and they want me to take the cables in as maybe a issue with cable lenghts. would be nice to know difference between PH1 and 2s

Changing the handbrake cables on my early PH1 and purchased from Renault parts given R60 00 073 733 R60 00 073 734 When fitted the cables are about 60mm to long at each side,the outer sheaths fit spot on. Had to cut old cables off so hard to compare against each other. Are these the correct...

Cannot wait to get my original ph1 out for the summer, it had its 16th birthday on Wednesday and needs a good run out..

Got 2 phase 1s,each car has full set winter wheels/tyres and have a few brand new wheels/tyres.

Ive got 20 original F1s and all 7" wide,6.5 more than likely aftermarket ones. Should not make any difference for tyres.

Looks very nice mate. Bloke who sold it must have been mad,ive owned my phase1 since brand new and would never let go and never for that sort of money.
