You do realise by positioning the sensor there your gauge is not going to work until the thermostat opens?
A better place to position it would be on the rear hose that exits the block to the heater matrix as this has flow all the time not just when the stat is open.
I'd say from looking at my wheel that Sanppy removes all the soft rubber covering leaving the harder plastic shell which is covered in some kind of padding and the leather is applied over that.
I do like a nice RS and yours looks spot on, good choice of ride height and wheel combo although I think it may look better with the centre caps fitted.
I'd recommend OE disc's with Axiss ultimate pads, they work just as well on the road as the do on track but are a little dusty.
It will be interesting to see whats done with this after seeing the slow progress of your 5 (I'm another turbo'd Mk1 owner and Mx5nutz user)
