Ive just bought a pair of Lemforder inners for £40. However they don’t come with new boots. I haven’t changed inners before, are there any issues using the old boots?
I had a passenger ride in one of these last year. Was in ludicrous mode? I have never been in a car that accelerated so hard. The power delivery was instantaneous, literally like flicking a switch to full power. No waiting for an engine to get into it’s stride.... amazing thing. Totally changed...
Euro 205 Rallye's were based on 1.6 GTI shell/ running gear, were apparently 790kg... 1294cc on twin 40 carbs and put out 102bhp.... Never driven or been in one but sounds like great fun
It is possible to get these on and lined up spot on. I fitted/ hung the back box first with new genuine mounts, lined up the tailpipes by adjusting on the mounts/ brackets, then slid/ rotated the centre box/ pipe straight (found this wanted to twist because location of mount on centre box)...

Sorry to highjack but mine shares the same symptoms for the first 60 seconds of a journey. Its as though it is holding back, hessitant.... and then all of a sudden its fine. It litterally feels like a switch is flipped and after that initial minute it drives perfect. Bizzare. I occassionally get...
On 63k now. Bought 3 years ago on 33k. Use mine as daily which I think it's perfect for as I mostly use A/ B roads Managed an average of 36mpg in that time too
Superb work. One of the prettiest cars ever made in the best colour - Carmen red? The steering rack looks miles away from the steering wheel compared with a modern car/ hatch!
