Like the inpatient clown I am, I spliced into pin 24. Car didn’t start, so going to try pin 54. Any suggestions @incy-spider ?
I have noticed a wire going to the AC ECU from the engine. Maybe this is the answer?
I have used citric acid on an rusty allen/torx/XZN toolset, left over night they came up good as new. The citric acid powder can be found for under £2 in Wilko for a box. Always worth keeping some for jobs like these.
If I want to be belt and braces for some parts exposed to the elements, I...
Installing my extinguisher over the weekend ahead of my first race in the Tricolore Trophy next month.
I have a 5 nozzle system meeting the new regs of tech list 16. Nozzle locations are clear.
However, I was planning to route the pipe near the rear washer bottle hole in the bulkhead, then...
This is a work around I am aware of although with Clip at my disposal I’d rather a proper fix. I am contemplating leaving the ecu in, as it weighs nada
This has left me scratching my head.
With the ecu ‘present’ I reset everything to ‘without’ whilst all sensors/airbags were disconnected.
Then disconnected the ecu, set it to ‘missing’ on the UCH install list. Ran a multiplex test and no faults found; ie no ‘airbag ecu not found’ fault...
I’m installing an oil cooler in my low pressure PAS line, due to a Cadwell almost killing my pump after a few laps.
I have seen in a few threads, mounting it to the lower side of the crash bar.
Although (I think, it’s been a while since I’ve had it apart) it’s a box section, so how is the...
Yes I replaced my pump with a refurb unit. It felt slightly lighter, although the variation could be due to another variable, such as tyre pressure.
I am sceptical of these ‘refurbished’ pumps though.
Thanks for the links, I’ll get this ordered. Can route around the engine, rather than past the manifold. Did you install a cooler or was this to replace your stock line?
I’ve read access to the union on the rack is tricky?
I’ve replaced the pump once and it occasionally sounded like a straight...
I have thought about this, however unsure on the dimensions of the union at the rack end.
I’ve considered using pirtek to make a metal line crimped to rubber hose (with the rubber end a flying lead, allowing me to cut based on application). Then route the hose from the cooler to the res.
