You have to enjoy it for what it is, ive come from a 320bhp leon cupra r to a clio 182, straight line speed theres no comparison, but the 182 has just enough useable power, and is the best handling car ive driven, the cupra r was a beast, but come out of a roundabout and you'd be wheel spinning...
ive recently bought a clio 182, it's got an aas custom catback, ive fitted a decat, but id like it louder.
Would it make much difference performance wise if i swapped it for a yozza?, the exhaust cost £525, i like my exhausts loud
i prefer my phase 2 182 to my old phase 1, there just seemed to be so many little annoying niggles on the phase 1, i know its because there French, but there was so many rattles, and the dreaded sticking throttle cable really pissed me off, the 182 just feels a bit fresher, your never going to...
i tried to map my car with the rstuner the other day, i tried getting the code off henk to unlock it, but he said the rstuner cant read my ecu, which could mean the airbag ecu is faulty or has been disabled.
does this mean i wont even be able to get a map if i went somewhere that does maps and...
please help, ive fallen at the first hurdle,i cant even work out how to purchase a map
in the description it says i must provide details of my previous order and interface firmware etc, ive already ordered an unlock code.
i took a screenshot of the ecu info to put in the comments but it wont go...
if youve come this far on fitting the turbo kit,i personally would book it in with someone to get it done properly, the last thing you want is for it to go bang if its running lean/rich, coming from a few turbo cars myself, mapping is something you dont want to save money on really
it's done 167000 miles, but the owner had it from new and was all motorway miles, had a replacement engine at 150k i believe, due to main dealer mucking up a belt change.
i can really notice the handling, although this is a lot slower than my cupra r,i can pretty much push this to the limit on...
it does proper shine up nice, my cupra r was black,so i had a load of black detailing stuff,it's got the coilovers and aas exhaust, and the solid top mounts, ive fitted a pipercross panel filter, all I'm doing next is fitting a decat to it, as its a tad quiet for me, just waiting for the spring...
just thought if post a pic up of the clio 182 i just bought, you all will probably recognise it, it's done loads of miles, but had a replacement engine and only 1 previous owner, i basically sold my 320bhp cupra r,to raise some cash for a house deposit, i was looking at what hot hatch to replace...
I think I might go the sell it as it is route, cracked screen, ball joint needs doing, bonnet cable snapped, sticky throttle, and I have no receipts for the belts being done, these only seem like little things except for the belts, I just don't think I'm going to keep it long enough to spend the money...
Is it me or has the price of phase 1 and phase 2s gone right down now? I've got a phase 1 that needs a few things doing to it before I sell it,but it's starting to look like I'll get more money back if I broke it,than if I fixed it up to sell on, anyone having this dilemma?
