I'm having the dampers on my car rebuilt and have seen the top mounts and they look ok - no cracks or wear as such but I guess with the weight of the engine on the front suspension and being near 5 years old they could do with replacement.
How do you know if the top mounts are sh*gged?

Further up they say try Loctite 5920 (copper based RTV sealant). I take it this is the silicone stuff? If not where can I buy it from? I'm in Hall Green so if you can give me some I'll pay ya :)
My exhaust blows where the centre pipe and cat meet (flange set-up).
I've take it back to the guy who fitted it 3 times. He looses the clamp, but some Holt Gum Gum around it, tightens it and its ok for a week and then starts blowing again.
I'll grab some of the Loctite stuff from Halfords...
Spoke to Mark last week who said I could send my Inlets to him when I was ready. Unfortunately it wasn't viable to drive the car to N'hampton and wait while the work was done as it'd take up space on the ramp which is perfectly understandable.
