The timing needs correcting yes, i'd be surprised if the valves haven't hit, You don't need to drop the engine to change the belt, if you are going to remove the engine i have only taken a couple out and i dropped them out the bottom, subframe off etc.
Not good your timing has jumped, imagine trying to put a plate through the slots in your cam shafts, reference it against the pic i attached yesterday, i can't remember every working on one that hasn't bent valves when this has happened so i would be taking the head off next.
Yeah you will see where the plate would go in, and can hopefully work out from there if the cams are out of align, the pic attached will give you some idea
blimey your not hanging around!!! There is some special tooling you would need a pin for the crank and a plate to lock the cams (this is just for checking) but just to see if i can help on here at the end of the head, gearbox end are 2 black plastic caps pop them out and take a pic, stick it on...
Where did you get yours? i've been looking into these as all i have is a snap on scanner which is miles away from what clip does. I've read there limited compared to what i would of used in the dealer but as long as i can get proper DF codes and some live data i'll be happy.
sounds like you might have already done it but just incase make sure the window is completely closed then release the button and then pull the window switch all the way up and hold for 5 secs i say all the way incase it has a 2 stage switch i.e one touch, it should work after that
start by reading your current uch configurations and printing it out then once the new one is fitted set it up to the network which is some yes no boxes and then configure the uch to match your old settings, the main problem will be coding the keys in do you have access to immobiliser codes? as...
