Definitely. I don't understand people who buy these kind of cars already built. I guess probably because they haven't got it the knowledge to build it or fix it, but with a car like that you're always gonna have niggles and it can get very expensive and a pain in the ass to fix.

You'd have been better off spending the 8 quid on two tins of blue paint at Halfords and Ed China'ing the bonnet so at least it sort of matched. Just looks like you've had a crash and had to find some second hand bits TBH.

I ran 172 cams in my megane 225 engine with no issues. You do need a get a pulley machined or maybe fit some adjustables. They have oil ways in as well which you'll need to sort out. Not that hard but it is possible.

You'd be able to put some sort of vent in the bonnet to pull the air out when driving along. Mine does get hot but nothing to worry about. As long as your intake temps are good and nothing is melting then you should be alright. Have a look over to Durham if you like, luckily the number 1 Clio...
