A good friend of mine was also caught in that mess! He said idiots were aslo taking up the hard shoulder so no gritter or emergency services could pass so to get them through! The police made a 5th lane by pushing people across but as soon as a police car went through motorists filled that lane...

Just sold my 106 GTI and bought a 172 and I would defo say the 172 is a better car. That is a nice example though.

I normally wait a min to let a bit of oil get round then drive. I did hear leaving it running to warm up was bad for it.
