Serv and esp light on then no cruise control

When I drive along since this morning, randomly on journeys the esp and serv light will come on and stay on till I turn the car off.

When it does this however my cruise control no longer works, limiter does just cruise doesn't...

Can anyone help? Ive reset the brake light switch but no good?

I would imagine an abs/wheel rotation sensor issue ?
What does a obd reading tell you ?

Might be a fault relating to the steering angle sensor mate.

Annoyingly I've got the same problem as well. Comes on after 20 mins of driving and disappears after turning the engine off. It started when I changed the steering wheel to an OMP wheel and did nothing with the cruise control wires...

I've also got the exact same issue as the above. My cruise control still works with the lights on though.

I changed my squib a while back, but tried to make sure that the circle in the top left was lined up in the yellow as you're supposed to.

Just to add - My ABS light was also on for a time, but after adjusting the brake pedal switch the ABS light went away but these two lights stayed on. Could it be that the switch needs adjusting again?

I've got the same issue too. Can't seem to find a definitive answer for what the problem is. I've barely touched the abs and cruise wires but now the cruise isn't working and the airbag, service light and traction control lights are on.

Any advice would be great.

As far as i can find out the esp and serv light is caused by the brake pedal switch not activating as soon as you brake. Oddly this is the opposite to my situation as my brake lights were not coming on immediately so I adjusted the switch to sort that and now I have these warning lights on. I'm going to have another fiddle with it when I get chance, then I'll try a new switch.

Had a fiddle with the brake pedal switch today and no warning lights and cruise works again now. [emoji4] Even managed to keep the brake lights working correctly.

Good to hear! I keep meaning to try mine but forgetting, how far out did you pull the switch out?

It's less than half way I think. It comes out in clicks so it's pretty easy to adjust if it's not right first time.
