Misfire spluttery at low revs

As title says, cars a bit spluttery at low revs, soon as it's going anything over like 2500rpm is fine ?
Happens cold or hot?

What's the first point of call would you say? Plugs?

Just got me puzzled as it's only at very low revs, was thinking about fuel filter if it's had s**t fuel in the past but these don't run an inline one do they

Also worth checking the tdc sensor on the right side of the block. That is also one of the symptoms I was having. Mine was a possible dodgy aftermarket sensor and the wires being bare!!

I had this years ago on a 172 . It would cough and splutter and was hesitant up to about 2500 revs then would kick into life . It was the plugs .

Yeah... Plugs, leads, injectors and also check the throttle body itself. Probably nothing major, but a bad map file could also cause a misfire but doubtful.

Hope you manage to sort it....

The order of things I would check/replace are:
Plugs (check gap and colouring)
Ignition leads (standard ones often fail, Magnecor's are better)
Ignition Coil
Crank position sensor (bit of a menace to get to, but mine went and caused exactly what you're describing)
I have had the leads and the CPS fail on me, and both caused what you are describing, the CPS eventually caused the car to cut out and not start. Iirc, the leads made the car misfire at around 3.5k, and the CPS around 2.5-3k.

Yeah I'll go for plugs first, if I get the proper iridium ones what do they need gapping to? I'll be honest I've never gapped a set of plugs lol normally just whack em in [emoji15]

it's spluttery at anything under 2500rpm, once above that it drives perfect, no loss of power or anything noticeable.. did get a video but can't upload ATM for some reason

that or injector, 9 times out of 10 its an injector failure

Having looked in the glovebox I've got 3 spare injectors [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]

Wondering if it's had this issue for a while and they've bought a full used set ? Gunna try plugs first as I think it's cheapest option.

My damaged leads are replaced and now mine is saying lamdba :(

Mine had the exact symptoms misfire at 2k, hit 2250 and it took off.

If it tuns out you need one, I've got a spare brand new one kicking about somewhere. Make me an offer if you want/need it.

Just to update this lads

Replaced spark plugs. Issue cleared but still there after approx 1 week

Checked all injectors all work fine

Checked crank sensor, was sooty so cleaned it off still not different

So next off changed coilpack with a new one still not right

So next up did the HT leads and finally its fixed [emoji51] think I only had the lambda left to check lol but glad it's sorted now, just wanted to update as when I was searching I noticed there was a few topics on it [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

When its dark start the car, open the bonnet and check for any arcing from the leads to the rocker cover/inlet.

Mine was the leads when i had a miss under load below 3k rpm, one had a little split in it.

Just said mate it was the leads that were goosed, OEM Renault leads so chances are they're the original ones lol. Well worth renewing
