Project Standard 182FF

So i bought my 182FF around a year ago now, it's fulfilled all expectations it's my daily commuter and still makes me smile on country roads on a Sunday! I originally intended to make some track beast of it, but having had modified cars i'm feeling a different way with this one.
So in the coming months i'm looking to get this thing back to a good standard kind of look with a few personal touches, cup splitter needs fixing and putting back on and the wheels sprayed in the cup pack anthracite as i felt like something different when i sprayed them (anyone now the colour?).

Few spec bits...

Managed to find a Ph1 172 set of dials and taken apart and cut up the insert so that all the lights are now displayed correctly. Something a little different.

So a few new things to add to this.

Cam belt, Aux belt, water pump, coolant, oil, oil filter, cam cover resealed and all mojor pulleys all fitted by Diamond Motors. Cant express enough how professional and decent my experience with this place was and would recommend to anyone!

Fitted a gauge pod with water temperature gauge.

Also covered a few bits in alcatara fabric feels a bit cosier now...

Mine had similar when I bought it, which is why i'm not too keen haha. Think it's just a bit too busy and they don't really suit the lines. I like the idea though to be fair. Stop blurring your plate too ;) Ruins the pictures haha.

I know what you mean, not too keen on the bonnet but the idea was there, haha ive always thought someone could smack my number plate on their car and go out getting speeding tickets knowing the plate is in use [emoji1383]

The likelihood is very slim. Easier to just walk on a street, or google image search any random car. I wouldn't worry too much... mines in my avatar!

Exactly why my plate is always blocked out, and always will be in photos  I've been through it all with my old Astra VXR, my plate... not me..... was caught stealing petrol in Essex. When I live in Norfolk. Never want the police round again for stuff like that!! Obviously nothing to do with this forum, was years ago btw!

Car looks great mate, it's not easy to keep them standard is it?!
I guess a lot of them are now doing duty as track cars. If it's a track only car in not sure if it needs insurance or to be sorn? There's definitely a cycle of person buys road car to make track car. Track car won't sell so gets broken and scrapped while track parts go to another person converting a road car. 5 years time a good road 1*2 will be a rare sight.

Thanks, yeah i guess the graph has just plummeted in the past few years!

Thanks, i know i really wanted to keep it standard so im just going for standard looking with a few normal looking tweaks! Unfortunately commuting everyday is racking up the miles but im having fun it it, better than keeping it in a garage for someone elses enjoyment in a few years. [emoji1383]
