BMW M135 - M Performance Exhaust

  BMW M4; S1000 RR
Sort of want to get an M Performance Exhaust. From most of the videos they sound very asbo, but I went in a 440i with one yesterday and in Comfort mode it was just a bit louder than standard. And the pops etc only occured in Sport/DSC off.

The guy that did this video doesn't explain when he's changing modes, but he starts both in Sport and switches back to Comfort toward the end of each clip.

Too loud for the car?

Cotswold bmw do good prices on m135i m performance exhausts which is basically just a back box, the original exhaust needs cutting theres a dipple to cut at ,BCS exhausts are also good as boost levels control the exhaust valve
MPE with Chrome Tips - £650
MPE with Carbon Tips - £750

Both include vat and delivery to mainland UK

Absolutely love these things.

Heard one with a bit more of an ASBO exhaust than this, sounded epic, loads of whistly turbo straight 6 noises. But maybe too loud for some people.

Yes mate it was Cotswold I spoke to, they quoted £790 for the one with Carbon tips though..

The MPerformance exhaust sounds good i think, my issue is with the fitment - they stick out much further than the standard exhaust & make it look a bit like a wheelbarrow.

The tips are adjustable so that shouldn't actually be a problem.. At least it wasn't a thing I noticed on the car I went in.

It's just the money, £800 for a backbox... When £800 would instead buy the BMS intake and JB4... Why I haven't bought that package yet I don't know.

Considering the retail price is £1024, thats not that bad from a dealer (Selling it at near cost essentially).
Doesn't mean it's worth £1000 either though.

Was reading about a 440hp one on babybmw that was posting 60-100 times of 4.5 seconds. Mad quick! (About 6.5 standard I think)

Do it!!! My mates just purchased a m135i and the noise standard isn't too bad but deffo could do with a bit more growl.

Cheers for the info on the exhaust, I'll pass it onto him
I know he was looking to get a new down pipe for it

Went out in my mates brothers at weekend. Sounded good at full chat and loved how quiet it was around town.

His is standard and felt seriously f*cking quick even 3 up. Their depreciation just scares me abit.
