A few (amazing) pictures of the old steed. UR Clio 200.

There is one near me and it doesn't leave the drive! Properly nice colour.

Yup! I never wanted one it that colour originally either. I wanted Storm Grey but couldn't order one as because it's a really late 200 and was discontinued. The salesman had a demo UR and I was sold!

I wanted the red because it was a free colour!

Cheers.

I'm surprised by how many 200 owners compliment the colour, but hardly anyone ordered it in UR. I only ever see Glacier and LY ones.

Nimbus is another cracking but underrated 200 colour. It doesn't have the impact of Ultra Red though

How rare is the UR 200 FF/ringspec/minimobile Turner?

One of my favourite cars on the forum. For some reason I think the black strips would work against the red and with black wheels.

Any pics? Or did they not do a red cup?

Lol. Very. Rarer than an honest answer to a relationship problem in GC.

I've never seen an Ultra Red Cup. Ever. Although I'm fairly sure that it was available, since it was a free colour.

I'm in two minds. If I could get hold of a cheap set, I'd give them a go.

I just need an akrapovic on mine and I'll be happy.
You'd be better off building your own through a decent company and cheaper. The Akra never sounded that great on the 200... actual going with the video that Chris posted on Insta.. his £80 delete sounds better.

I agree. Unless you're obsessive about the weight saving, they sound very dull and are hugely expensive.

I might get a replacement back box when my OE one dies, but I'm happy with the crackles for now.

I like the sound of the akra personally mate. Not a fan of rasp, but if someone can post the vid in here I'll have a listen and see what I think.

Not sure if you daily this car, but how do you find them for town driving and speed bumps?
My old clio was on coils and I don't want to have to snake round the bumps these days.
Fine mate. Well, as fine as a car that's already a very stiff road car can be.
The damping copes really well with them and doesn't get upset either. You do get a little more kickback through the rack, but that's it really.
I'd recommend them for sure.

Any plans for a spoiler? Didn't even notice it didn't have one when I first looked at the pics and commented. Little sprint spoiler would look great.

It's already got one mate, the GT spoiler was a factory option.
I thought about the Elia Sprint but I'm not sold on them. I like the rear how it is really.

It's hard to tell from the angle in the pictures. Here's a better angle of it in an old photo.

Ah yeh, now you mention it you can see it, I'm not massively knowledgeable on 197/200's.

Always prefered the cup spoiler but not keen on them now, really prefer the sprint spoiler. How does that differ to the GT spoiler?

Does sit very nicely indeed, might have to put spacers&springs at the top of the shopping list.
And it is the best colour, isn't it

The Sprint is kicked up at the back, it's pretty cool.
I do prefer this though. Just.
It sits flatter and makes the back look even fatter.

I'm still a sucker for Storm Grey. It'll always be the colour that got away.
UR is proper though. Such a hot hatch colour.
