I saw a Starlet turbo on Saturday morning, a black L reg one, it looked a bit tatty, but I'm pleased to have seen it!

One randomly arrived at SRR last week. Was standard as far as the owner knew and made 150bhp, awesome little things.

The person driving this one had probably had it since new, iirc it was a woman.
I doubt it. Officially they were never released in the UK. ;)
Awesome things though. My bro had a GT and I had a Glanza as you may remember. Mine was Evo 6 pace in a straight line.

Ah right, I didn't know that. Yeah I remember, the Glanza was lovely, I love those things!

Not sure if it counts to be 'spotted' at meets/shows but I thought it was cool and worth grabbing a picture of!

At a local car meet, Pompey d-day museum.

Wish I went to that, too old to go clubbing now! Good turn out?

I was surprised actually, good turn out and a good mixture of cars/owners, they're fairly regular meets and I would think after a couple it would be largely the same faces/cars but definitely worth a mooch around, I disappeared when the 'ere lads, listen to my pops and bangs' started haha

Loved this thing. Stripped with lots of mods and Hybrid C12 turbo. I cant remember the BHP now. It was either 220 or 240bhp.
A chap laughing at me in his Evo 6 and me proceeding to push him down the road was the highlight of owing it. People always used to ask me what had been done to it.

Saw a BMW 218d Tourer this morning.
Who in their right mind would go into a BMW dealer and say "hmmmmm, yes, thats the BMW I'd like"
They look f**king horriffic.
And the only front wheel drive BMW make.

Ergo; they're s**t.

I'm worried that once a manufacturer has made one FWD car it's a slippery slope that all their range will change to FWD.

Imagine them making all their non-M cars FWD....

They're nothing like they used to be. The era of solidly built E46's and E39's are a distant memory to them now.
The new 1/2/3/4 series' feel so cheap it's unreal.
My dad had a 535d and when the lease was up for renewal, he drove a 2 coupe, a 3 touring and a 4 Gran Coupe and ended up getting a MINI....!
He was so disappointed with the build quality. I work on them all day every day and I don't blame him.

I had one as a courtesy car, its a really dumb car.
I guess if your into the BMW brand, old & stupid you would buy one.

It felt like a civic aerodeck but without the space.
