Megane 225 acceleration vibration issue....

Asking this for my mate who bought my megane off me....

He's had it for a month or so issue free, however it's developed a strange vibration on acceleration. I drove it on Sunday and it's perfectly fine until it comes on boost. At which point it vibrates/wobbles really badly. It's quite violent to be honest. It feels proper broken! I can't for the life of me think of what it could be.

The facts...

Performance is unaffected.
Idle has become lumpy.
Only does it on boost.
More noticeable in lower gears.
At steady speed it seems normal.
No smoke.
No fault codes.

Now, I've experienced a failing driveshaft or a failed DMF. These are the only two things I can think it might be.

Any thoughts?

Builds speed, more vibration. Something rotary I would imagine.

As mentioned, dmf, driveshaft, clutch bearing, hub bearings, swivel joint??

Not engine obviously if its boosting ok.

Could be as simple as the top engine mount collapsed, get that a lot. Not so sure if it would be more noticeable on boost though...
It's got a powerflex top mount mate so think we can rule that out.

I say it's lumpy on idle, but it could be how it's always been to be fair. There's no noises on idle or when cruising. It's literally as soon as you put your foot down and boost builds, you get a horrible rumble/vibration

Ah, okay... just thinking of things that haven't been mentioned and easy to check. Another one I had once was exhaust touching underneath when accelerating, horrendous vibrations and rumbling! Worth a check
