What would this area come under for insurance? - Sorry for potato pic
The land is private and is sign posted that only those permitted to park there are allowed (Just me and my dad) but is not owned by us but by the landlord (my uncle). I always have my car here when I'm at home but there's nothing to separate it from the public land beyond it. I have approximately marked the boundaries for the land on the pic.

Driveway.
I didn't think so because a "driveway" leads to a house or garage, and our only entrance to the flat is on the front near the main road whereas this is behind. Still think its a driveway?

I was told it makes no difference to the price.

Anyway, it should just be off street parking looking at that.

Sure there is an "Off Street Parking" option?

I'm on compare the market atm and there isn't an option for "off street parking" there, I know different sites have different options but Ive never seen the off street parking one?

And it makes a difference in my case but it's only very small. Main reason I ask is so I don't get told by my insurance company that I am wrong if I need to claim.

They wouldn't be able to refuse a claim based on that mate. And it would only be in the case of it being damaged or stolen from that parking place that it could possibly be an issue anyway.

Just insure it as 'parked on road' - if it's only a small amount more, you're then covered wherever you park it because driveway/off-road/private parking must surely be classed as less risk.

What are the given options on Compare the market?
Street outside home, street away from home, public car park, driveway and private property. The others wouldnt apply to this

You can check it on the deed to the land.

All public data at the land registry, IIRC its only about £4.00 to obtain a copy which should include a drawing of the land owned within the deeds.
