Random one this, but does anyone know what 12 months road tax would have cost for the 182 back in 2005? Just had the reminder through and as I look at the prices almost open mouthed as yet again it's gone up (same price to tax as my 2.5 3 series!!) just wondered how it's changed over the years!?

I bought my first 172 new in Nov 2001 then bought a new 182 in Feb 2006. In this old thread from 2005 there's talk of £160 and £165. I don't ever remember if being that cheap for either of them

Yeah that's a bit cheap isn't it? I'm thinking £190 is more near the mark moving to £205 as @imprezaworks said

Got to tax mine and shocked at how much it is it only gets used half a dozen times a year, just had my reminder through for the Focus RS and that is only £210

You pay council tax for repair of the roads, you pay road tax to use the roads iirc.
Not that it makes any f**king difference, the roads in the UK are f**king dreadful.

That's also a good point, where it says 'x' next to the reg, whats that? Classification code? On the other discs does it say 8?
Considering I've been driving since 2003 it doesn't take long to forget this stuff. Must be getting old 🙈😂

Lol, no mate read it wrong, mine was first taxed by the dealer June 2004 for 12 months, so that first disc ends end of June 2005 for 171 quid.
Should keep printing your own and sticking them in your window. That'd f**k with people.
