This looks like it has potential. Literally fired it up last night for a few minutes and instantly picked up on the SimCity vibe.

Looks very pwetty for such a traditionally bland looking subject matter.

It's everything you could want in a modernised SIM City 4.
The Steam Workshop is a joy for extra content, although my commercial zone is now mostly KFC's now.
Careful with maps though, some may look really pretty, but are, ultimately, badly designed and broken.
 
I got it today on Xbox One, I seem only to be able to have a single "box" in which to build my city, do I need to wait for things to unlock? I kinda wanted to be able to pick where I started the city.

Well I bought this today..it has Avery steep learning curve and doesn't explain much at times but I have now sunk atleast 6hrs into it so far and I'm getting the hang of it I've also purchased 2 new squares to build on...

Not sure why i like it but it's very good, nice to play a game where I'm not chasing lap times or getting shot in the face.

Yea you unlock more as your population grows.
