Engine dynamics 230 turbo kit

  cup 182
Guy said supplied fitted and remapped 3k
Performance wise 5.5 secs, AVG mpg 33-35
Standard clutch and gearbox can cope with it and will be fine
Who runs this kit on there car?
Has it been reliable? And worth the money?
Looking for reviews thanks

Would the Clio turbo,d not keep up with most standard turbo hothatches anyway?
Guy at engine dynamics was convinced the 230 kit was good for keeping up with an Audi S3 and MK2 focus RS no probs
I think the joy of that would be worth the price of 3k

I've had mine 4 months, worth every penny. I uprated the clutch at the same time, survived trackdays and plenty of driving in between. MPG is mostly the same driving normally, slightly worse than before driving spiritedly (as expected).

Out of interest, would you recommend getting a turbo fitted purely for a track car?

Hard one to answer, it makes everything a bit more expensive and you kind of miss it being so revvy, but the extra speed is great fun and less frustration by being able to pass the higher BHP cars that don't let off on the straights makes it worth it for me

With these 230 conversions which ive been looking at too. I cant help but think id want more power after getting it done. Anyone whos had this conversion could you comment. Is the power enough? Only reason i ask is because its alot of $$ and i want to know if its something id be over the moon with

I had mine about a month and done about 500 miles, I've loved every minute of it. I also went for the uprated clutch for peace of mind as I didn't want the standard one to crap itself after a few hundred miles. I'm not saying that the standard one couldn't handle it but it's luck of the draw.
It is a sizable chunk of money for the conversion and clutch but I'd do it again without hesitation.

So what we looking at, £3300 drive in/out conversion, and is that with an uprated clutch? If so then its not to bad cost wise

I'd say more along the lines of £3500 as you'll need to factor in other costs that might crop up along the way e.g. my flywheel was knackered when they did my clutch so needed another.
I've been boosted since December 2015 and not had any problems with the kit apart from needing an uprated clutch a year later. I've done 400 miles in the Cup this weekend, took it to Donington, thrashed it around track for 30 minutes and it got me home again without missing a beat. Love it!

On my 2nd turbo Clio, current one is the ED 230 kit , first one was much higher boost. Despite what people say stock clutch is not good enough, not a good enough bite and will eat it in no time.
