Nurburgring setup

Hi looking for some advice,

I have a 172cup its on standard dampers with eibach proline springs, decent track tyres, powerflex bushes on front end and generally decent condition all round , would like the rear end to be more stable and just a bit better handling all round. I am back a Nurburgring in July but will also be doing various track days as well.

Question is wheres best to start with the car?

As I have asked for advice on making the rear end of the car more stable, that's the main thing I would like to improve?

The rear shouldn't be particularly unstable, unless your rear dampers are knackered or you are running some toe out.

If you haven't already had them done then I would say rear bushes.

This. Check the rear dampers aren't fucked and get the alignment checked to see where everything is at.
Post the results of the alignment and we can take it from there.

Sorry not trying to be pedantic but saying more stable is very vague.

How is the car behaving.
1 under braking
2 at turn in
3 mid corner
4 at exit.

As northloop has said get a full get setup and let us know the results.

There should not be a huge amount of rear instability and depending on how it's behaving it could be related to the front or something glaringly obvious.

There isn't really a one size fits all perfect setup that works everywhere for everyone .

Personally I think it's way to hard to try and set a car up here for the Ring. For a track it's pretty bumpy in places aswell.
Just make sure it's a 110% sound and just have fun over there. Time, laps and actually taking in what corners coming up next is what you need to do first. I find I learn more on wet/slower laps but still don't know half the track after plenty of laps.

Surely having a lively back end is what makes these cars fun??

if you're racing or chasing lap times then I can see why you'd not want it, but I personally love how lively the back ends are on these. It's what makes them.

Can't advise more than others have said already really.
Just don't run as hard a setup as you would at a normal track, for the Ring.
It's very bumpy in places and has some really harsh curbing. As a certain dutch EP3 owner recently found out.
Compliance is your friend at the Ring.
