Full Intake system or just air filter?

Hey,

I currently have a Renault Clio MK3, first time modding a car for me so want to take a look at starting with a cold air intake.

Basically, should I take a look at putting in a full intake system, or simple just changing the air filter itself.

I am placing a straight pipe exhaust into it in 2 weeks time with the help of a friend.

Any help would be appreciated!

Yes Non sport.

I'm not the best at what knowing is the best to get.
Taking a look around, I've come across this k&n induction kit, would this be good to invest in? Called "
K&N 57-0651"

Because I'm still new I aren't too sure on the mapping, but i'll keep things updated on here over time

I read somewhere that 20bhp can be got from a remap on these but the injectors are a limiting factor.

Exhaust and Intake will probably gain you just noise rather than any power.

I think we need to clear up which model of car you have. in your other thread you show a picture of a 1.2 non turbo MK3 Clio, but in this thread you say you have a 1.2 TCe?

Put a clear picture up of your car so we can work out what you have. If it's just the 1.2 non turbo then it's not worth doing anything engine wise really.
