Moved from clios to the R53 mini cooper s

im getting 22mpg at the min but im loving whine and pops lol. yeh the seats seam to be not to most peoples taste but meh i like em. im glad i moved over im really enjoying the mini at the min

Needs anthracite wheels and stripes (if keeping stripes) and maybe same colour/carbon wrap on roof think it would look good Imo .

Bought a set of Recaro's for £675 :smile:
Bought a R56S brake setup for £300 :smile:
Coilovers and ditching the run-flats will help the ride immensely too!

Glad you like it, mine was objectively good, subjectively shite, really didn't like it at all! Same interior too.

I loved my R53 Cooper S a few years ago, great fun and great on track too.
Now got a R56 JCW, and the death rattle isn't too much of an issue you just need to use the correct oil, get the tensioner replaced for the updated part number and have a de-coke done every few years or so (depending on how you drive, they need a good thrashing to clear them out).

cheers for the links theres a scorpion cat back on ebay i was tempted by but he wants 350£
also may have landed some ap coilovers at a decent price
mine is running this style cai think the exhaust will come soon

I've got AP. They're knocking like a b*****d at the moment, but I've a feeling it might be the top mounts. You'll need some for camber adjustment.
options are stay standard for a while n save for better coilovers n get the exhaust sorted or stick with exhaust (1 ball) and get coilovers of sorts mmm
took the stripes off and started removing the spot lights until i realised ive left every tool i own down my work lol so got floppy spot lights now give it the first wash needs full going over tho. ill be claying and so on tomorrow and dressing yhe engine bay after todays degressing also put some isolation tape over 1 part of the chrome wasteline will do the rest looks ok

What stuff you using on the car?
dodo juice btbm shampoo and a mad cow drying towel (epic). degressed the engine and under bonnet then washed with dodo btbm the finished paint with auto allure enhaced gloss qd (really good drying aid)
tomorrow will be auto allure fallout and autoglym de tar (didnt see any tar spots mind) rewash and autofinesse da kit ill use auto allure glaze to cover the missed bits autofinesse tough coat and wax addict verio wax finsh with auto allure qd

im in the shade so aint "that" bad doubt ill get full car done today tried the auto allure glaze its soooo easy to buff off waiting on the tough coat to cure on the 2 panels ive done lol
