My Inferno Story...

It's because I have the 2nd loom part which allows me to use steering controls so it says Renault, my mates old 172 didn't say anything there an his control didn't work so I assume it's down to that.
Think he wanted to know how come it says Renault on my clock dash.
Well I managed to get to work for an hour an grit blast my mount an coat it in VHT black but I'm still not happy with it, the colour this time looks more grey than black but it's better than brushed hammerite. So I will change it over for FCS an re do the original mount in normal satin not VHT black at a later date.
I've managed to get hold of the guy who made the fitted upper and lower gauge pods in pics below and am in talks with getting a couple shipped to the U.K.
Those gauge pods look really good!! You defo need a bit of that, just with some different gauges............. I thought the lower ones would be too low at the bottom of the dash but in that pic, they look ok actually although the two at the top at eye level would be my preference if I had to choose one. But just get both!! :grin:

A Little update...
Just ordered a 520mm X 85mm front number plate from proplates.co.uk with free delivery using code - cliosport
and a new number plate bulb holder from RPD as mine is a little hazed and I want the back of the car to look clean :up:

Well removed the crappy hammerite engine mount...
Fitted new satin black mount after taking the grey one back to work an grit blasting it again, Few coats of primer and satin.... much better.
Just waiting on my new front plate from proplates.co.uk and my new rear bulb holder from RPD. Aircon regas on Friday then the cleaning can begin for FCS17.

So my car developed a nasty metallic rattle from the engine bay this morning, was booked in for a aircon regas tomorrow at my local dealer but rung on the off chance they'd be able to fit me in.
An hour later I was at my local dealers going over my whole engine trying to locate the noise. Turned out to be a bolt that joins the gearbox to the block had came out and was rattling round. It was an arkward little bastid to do up too. Checked the others which seem to be FT.
Moved on to the aircon, my mechy plugged in to see how much pressure I had, which was full.
This fault was then traced back to an unplugged sensor in the bay. Both these things are down to ED an after only 150miles. I'm not poo pooing their work as I love the job they've done but I must admit I was a bit worried.
Anyways new parts fitted today... New rear bulb holder c/w new LED.
And a fire extinguisher, I'd rather have it and not need than want one and not have it 🙈
FCS prep started this afternoon also... Rinsed, foamed, washed, wheels, dried and 2 coats of Auto Glym Ultra Deep shine for dark cars. Tomorrow it'll get detailed and a couple coats of G3 super gloss wax before Saturday.

Using a little flat blade screw driver on the right hand side of the light levering it out.
It was a no show in today's post which I was gutted about, I'll be gone way before 8 bud. If it does come an don't fit in through the letter box stick it behind/in the green bin please :up:
Oh and I see see you about 1ish trying it on with a yellow st off the Hopton round about :stig:

:car: was some silly cow doing 50mph in the outside lane until the round about.so tryed a quick blast with the st.

Nothing major to report after the drive to FCS with @182_steve, car ran faultless on the 380mile round trip apart from the fuel consumption and getting abit warm whilst waiting to get into Donington. Anyways here's the few pics I got mine an Steves 182.

I did however manage to sell my old induction setup an purchase a full set of £60 premium velour RenaultSport mats for the bargain price of £20. A bit grubby but a hoover and product clean later they're mint!
Doubt much will get done with the car for a while as I'm saving for parts again :grin::up:

I reckon I walked past about half the forum on the day and didn't know them from Adam :smile: Would've been good as I'd have liked to have met more and had a nosey round their cars. One for next time maybe.

All looking cracking bud and looks like you two had a good time at FCS as well. Also glad it was only a loose bolt........know the feeling when you think it might be the worst when you hear a rattle in the engine bay!!
Anyway I used to drive an Arctic Blue 182 but made the move to an RS Megane 265 (oyster grey colour) last year but if any meets do eventually happen in this area then I will make sure to try and pop along

Waited 2 bastid weeks for my smaller front plate from proplates.co.uk, today recieved a note from Royal Mail saying I had to pay £3 to get it as postage had not been paid.
Open up the box to find a shocking looking plate.
It looks like they've just trimmed a legal size one down, not happy at all.
Going to get another from fancyplates.com like the top one in the image but spaced correctly.
Middle is new from proplates and bottom is legal size text etc but spaced wrong.

I know mate gutted! Boost is awesome! Loving it loads, more mods to come though!!
Mate I've ordered another from fancyplates this evening so hopefully that'll be here Monday/Tuesday.

Oh, I don't think they understand how it works then, they are supposed to pay postage rather than not pay any!
I used the code for proplates free shipping, the fancy plates code didn't work so I've ended up paying £20 for single front plate.
I know I should have got one made a FCS!
Lol I was looking at FCS but couldn't be bothered with the massive queue.
