I've just had three occasions when driving my 172 on the motorway, where there is a little 'bump', like being a bit quick releasing the clutch, and the temp light comes on for about 3 secs, before going off. Any ideas?

Trying to change the seatbelt over from a ph1 172 to a Cobra daytona subframe (correct frame for car). However, the belt doesn't appear to fit the cobra frame, due to the pretensioner etc. Any ideas?
My ph1 172 has been at Yozzasport for some treats. Initial rolling road was disappointing, before the work, with 134bhp at the wheels. When the head came off all became clear - a broken cam follower - the car's been running on 15 valves from the show room.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has started a job with a particular time frame in mind and it's all gone bandy. Painting my calipers took 3 days in the end, after expecting it to be 24hrs, and the front pads which should have been about 45 mins took 4 hours when I couldn't get the piston back...
Has anyone had one of these systems fitted from K-Tec. Actually I only want the manifold section, as it seems impossible to find a 182. Any thoughts?

I have £150-200 to spend on a sub. It will be powered by a JBL 1201 amp. I want to mount it arse up, so it needs to look good as well as sound good. My front set up will be JBL 75.4 with Boston SX55 components. HU is Alpine 9847
I have a red LED on the gear stick console that looks after market fitted, and some sort of alarm. It flashes when the key fob is used to lock the car. Anyone shed any light on this (pardon the pun)

I've bought a Lockwood white dial kit for my ph1 172. I bought the 160mph mk2 clio version of the dials and it turns out that a number of the warning light symbols are in the wrong place!! What kit should I have ordered?
My arms are killing me from scrubbing these four calipers for the past two days. It seemed like a good idea at the start. Was a right pain, but now worth it. I went through two wire brushes in order to get it done..

...do your calipers have to be in order to paint them. I've been scrubbing them with a wire brush and brake dust remover for a couple of hours a corner and they still have a slight rusty tinge?

I've finally got round to opening my closed air feed to the Venom IK. The feed now blows the colder air across the face of the filter opening. The feed and filter meet at right angles.
