Bit of hypothetical fun for you...
Having owned Renaultsports since 2006 and now having a Merc, I am considering buying a 172/182 as a toy car - something to use to pop down the shops (taking a 6.2 V8 1 mile and back is pointless and needlessly expensive), but more importantly, something to...
Hello
It's been a while since I have posted on here.
I was wondering if anyone out there has bought my old Clio Trophy (FY55 YOJ) and Clio 200 (BK60 SSV). I'd love to know how they are getting on with the car etc.
I am in a C63 AMG now and it's a very different car to the RSs I have owned...
Hello All,
I have just ordered a Clio 200 with the following spec:

Due for delivery in October. I cannot wait! :D

My Sachs have now been rebuilt at a cost of £583.20 (inc VAT) by BG Motorsport. A brilliant service, very quick turnaround and smiles all round.
However, I am a little frustrated with Renault. Clearly, when deciding how to see off the 182 they saw 1000 or so Sachs suspension units and thought...
I drove up the M6, A686 and A68 on Friday to Edinburgh and on Saturday I drove down the A1 to Newcastle. Then on Sunday from Newcastle down the A1(M) and the M1 back to Birmingham.Did anyone see me because I saw many 182s/172s. My Trophy was covered in stickers - we were having a little...
Dear All,
Can you please tell me what is replaced when replacing the rear axel (apart from the axel itself :rasp:) on a 182.
Do the springs also come with the part? The whole rear assembly (brakes, struts etc...)
Cheers.
Dear All,
Travelling down the A40 towards Monmouth on Monday and a pipe was in the left hand lane which I couldn't avoid due to traffic on my right and behind (I figured a 70mph accident is less than advisable). So I concluded, "that doesn't look too big, I'll drive straight over it."
Oh how...
I had my water temp replaced during the last service as the temp needle was fluctuating - rising to the middle then intermittently drooping (ahem...lol).
It is now doing it again. Any thoughts?
I spotted myself yesterday in my reflection driving slowly down a high street. My word did I look good in a Trophy.
Anyone else spotted themselves looking particularly good?
Went for a blast with Keef into Mid Wales today. Drove the B4368, B4518 and B4569 as well as a few remarkable unclassifieds just off the B4518.
I urge you to get out there and give them a go! Here are some pictures:
My right side headlight has gone. Is this is a ball ache to fix? I've had a look at the possibilities and concluded that it's a 'bumper off' job. Is this correct?
If I go in a straight line i need to have a slight turn to the right on the steering wheel.
I assume therefore that my tracking is out or something. Any idea how much this costs? Anywhere recommended (in Birmingham)? Will Kwik-fit do a good job for £25ish?
Cheers for your help in advance.
After I put my Arctic Blue 182 into a river in 2007, the insurance premium on my replacement car (the Trophy) was £1650 (fully comp) - with Royal Sun Alliance through the broker Keith Michaels.
This year I will give Direct Line £843 for the same level of cover. I'm 28, work in a managerial...
