I found that Rainsports on the front did not wear well(12K mile) on my Focus diesel but gave a reasssuring drive( more important obviously). We'll see how they last on my wife's Smart ForFour(old model). I got 700 miles out of a set of Vredestein Sportrac 5 on the front of my Clio driving to...
I also from Yorkshire and could be up for a meet one weeknight(Tues/Wed/Thurs only).
Why not meet at Huiddersfield football club car park this coming Monday night, they have an Autosolo that night which you can enter there and then, from 6.30pm.
The unfortunate reality is that ,in the north at least, tight so-called Autosolos prevail, and they use the same layout to run a simaltaneous PCA. I think a complaint would result in the complainer being excluded, and further entires with that organizer being declined. I have complained that...
There have unfortunately been loads of MSA Autosolos where some turns were really tight, so tight in fact that many cars were unable to get round on first attempt. I agree that this is undesirable and that flowing tests should be the order of the day but lack of space and organisers who are...
I think that you will find that 3000 was the requirement. Most manufacturers actually struggle to sell all the homologation quantit
because the cars are too hard core for Mr Average.
English comprehension lessons are probably available on the Internet at a reasonable price for those that failed to take advantage of their free schooling
Actually the 172 Cup is strictly a Homologation Special, far more desirable than a cosmetic Limited Edition, and of course by definition the quantity was limit to that which satisfied the production requirement for the Group N homologation standard..
I have owned an fwd car, Berkely B105, with no CV joints on the drive shafts, just Hooke joints that required greasing every 100 miles, yes 100 miles. It was a pig to drive away from a tight parking space on a steeply cambered road, especially with its on-off motorcycle type clutch and its first...
I interpreted your typo read as road wheel vice crown wheel rather than rear wheel.
Strictly speaking a car with selectable 4 wheel drive , does have a diff on the temporarily undriven axle.
The survival rate isnt bad considering that;these inexpensive cars are at least 13 years old; and many were driven hard then put away wet, or even, driven stupidly and put away badly bent.
I might put my new tyres on the front but that's to a) make the car oversteer more and b) because I still need to be able to lock the wheels up with the handbrake.
The classic Autosolo setup
Underseal wont help you. Suggest once the bolt on part is removed that you coat the remainder in Fertan following manufacturers instructions then paint with chassis paint eg Granvilles, then coat with underseal. And change that knackered rubber bush too!
