Ive just bought a pair of Lemforder inners for £40. However they don’t come with new boots. I haven’t changed inners before, are there any issues using the old boots?
I had a passenger ride in one of these last year. Was in ludicrous mode? I have never been in a car that accelerated so hard. The power delivery was instantaneous, literally like flicking a switch to full power. No waiting for an engine to get into it’s stride.... amazing thing. Totally changed...
Euro 205 Rallye's were based on 1.6 GTI shell/ running gear, were apparently 790kg... 1294cc on twin 40 carbs and put out 102bhp.... Never driven or been in one but sounds like great fun
It is possible to get these on and lined up spot on. I fitted/ hung the back box first with new genuine mounts, lined up the tailpipes by adjusting on the mounts/ brackets, then slid/ rotated the centre box/ pipe straight (found this wanted to twist because location of mount on centre box)...
Ok mate thanks. The strange thing is though, it didn't do it when I first had the car? Started around 10k or so ago and have been scratching my head since....
Sorry to highjack but mine shares the same symptoms for the first 60 seconds of a journey. Its as though it is holding back, hessitant.... and then all of a sudden its fine. It litterally feels like a switch is flipped and after that initial minute it drives perfect. Bizzare. I occassionally get...
On 63k now. Bought 3 years ago on 33k. Use mine as daily which I think it's perfect for as I mostly use A/ B roads Managed an average of 36mpg in that time too
Superb work. One of the prettiest cars ever made in the best colour - Carmen red? The steering rack looks miles away from the steering wheel compared with a modern car/ hatch!
Bought mine last year and it fitted perfect first time. Reading threads like this maybe I was lucky with the fitment. I used all new genuine Renault mounts and fittings. I hung the backbox firstly. Had a mate hold the tailpipes level and I then rotated the centre box to the right place before...
Bump!
Evening all....So one of the o-rings on the 90deg connector going into my fuel rail has perished....
Does anyone know what size/ type I could use to replace it? And where I could source such part?
There are two o rings, a lower black coloured one (damaged) and a blue one above it (ok)...
Passed a nice standard looking Trophy reg YA05*** yesterday afternoon at around 3pm on the A5 at Capel Curig/ Betws y Coed. Female driver. I was the knackered looking bloke in the Arctic 182 carrying two filthy bikes on the roof lol
Just thought Id update this to those interested.
So after a few weeks waiting, and a detailed e-mail or two later Ive managed to settle with the insurers this week for £6000, minus the excess (£300). Which overall Im happy with.
Just shows that market value insurance can work in your favour on...
Suspect has been questioned, as anticipated denies the whole thing. He'a a juvenile so released on bail pending further enquiries. Will be down to CCTV/ mobile examination work now I believe but Im not too hopeful.
To be fair though the Cops and Fireservice were great. They are doing their...
Im feeling a lot of hate at the moment mate! Its the mess they've made on the drive/ smoke damage to the front of the house etc! So pissed off its unreal.
Unlucky for it to have happened but lucky it wasn't worse. If the Shogun had caught fire I think the garage's would of gone up.
Nice 106...
Thanks for the kind comments/ advice. Reason I insured it market value was because (wrongly maybe) I believed agreed value policies were more suited to cars who's values FAR exceed the market value. I.e those that have had total nut/bolt resto's or the likes of a 10k mile prime example.
Mine...
Well so much for 'this one's a keeper' I was woken by frantic neighbours at 1am Monday morning to this.....
My pride and joy in a ball of flames on the drive. Fire Service and Police were on scene in 5 minutes to extinguish the flames but it was too late. The 205 was completely gutted...
Gave her a wash. Swapped the Cooksports over for Eibach Pro Kit. Fitted new front Brembo HC discs/ pads and spark plugs courtesy of George@RTR. Should be ready for MOT on Monday now.
