Im so confused. So have you tried manually selecting each and every gear with the linkage completely detached from the box? Shifters are notoriously difficult to align, being out half a mm can render a gear selection unusable, regardless of all other gears going in. Ask me how I know.

I was mainly thinking for up down left right warpage from all the welding. You cant tune it all out with shims. Not sure if factory specs are available in the workshop manual
