    Number plate bulb?

    Recently purchased a new number plate bulb for my Clio mk2 1.2. It has always started perfectly but after fitting the new bulb i would turn the key and it wouldn't start or turn over, as soon as I took the bulb out it started first time perfectly. Any ideas as to why this could be happening...
