Ive had a few goes against vts's (same engine as gti) and up to 60 there is nothing in it, mine edged it towards the end of 3rd and when in 4th was very very slowly pulling away. My mate has a black vts and ive very slowly edge past him at 130 ish on a private road. My valvers on 160k+ now too...
That looks only as quick as my valver lol
That explains why when i chased a guy the other day in a 172 up to 120 and he only pulled a bit through 3rd and then it leveled out
Thats mine to the limiter in 3rd

You need to take off your air box mate and then you will see the gearbox. The earths are just random wires bolted on to it. I suggest you take them off, get some sand paper and sand the connections so they are shiney and then bolt them back on extra tight. There is an earth strap down there near...
I agree with lee 180. There would be f**k all in it on the straights. So get of your high horse 172/182 boys ;)
Arnt the 206 6 speed as well? They do the 1/4 in the same time almost as well
Id say they are reliable if well looked after, mine never went wrong for over a year. Then it all went wrong in 1 year lol
You have to bear in mind that these cars dont get driven normally but get thrashed within an inch of there life on a daily basis, or is that just mine :)
