    Robs Inferno 182 Cup.....

Looks good mate, I was chatting with your brother the other week and he mentioned you were going down the turbo route. Quick one about your steering rack hose, was it a local place that did it or the one down next to Gatwick? I could do with one myself.

Mark 1 Track Car - Trophy Red 172 Project

@Coops Turbo I've got the same wilwood set up mate, they use toyota avensis discs that have been drilled and bored to the 4x100 and 60.1mm.

Breaking cover......*AG content from page 45*

Mark, I'm sure Matt West has run 17" wheels on his Meg 250. Hes had that many sets of wheels though its hard to keep up lol. I've still got those brand new 250 calipers boxed up if you want to give them a new home.

    Team dynamics 1.2 fitment

I didn't say plastic spigot rings were the best solution buy it's genuinely worrying how many people think wheels are bored to match the hubs simply to make getting wheels on and off easier....... If it was me using a set on track where I knew they would be getting hot I'd make the effort and...

    Team dynamics 1.2 fitment

Use the spigot rings. Anyone who says otherwise is plain stupid. Ive seen people in the past not use them and they've had the wheel bolts shear off. If you don't use them you have the full weight of your car resting on your bolts, by using the rings your transferring that load to the hub...

Ngk sparks or Megane R26 Spark Plugs

Nope you read it correct, Meganes use a colder grade plug than the clio so I used them. I do know guys who've ran standard clio plugs in their turbo conversions. I'm still using megane plugs at 400bhp plus and have only had to reduce the gap.

Skimming the Block to Raise Compression

I think the drilling that has been mentioned is regarding the pulley set up. As we know the 197 f4r and f4rt engines have the water pump running from the cambelt, the clio 1*2 f4r uses the aux belt and needs an additional pulley to compensate. It's easy enough to compare the two heads to see...

    Successful turbo conversions

There's loads of ways to get a high powered front wheel drive car to handle decent power. I use a a boost vs TPS map so half throttle makes half boost and makes the car so easy to drive, you can hold a steady throttle in bends and you don't get that 50p cornering like poor set ups. I'm also...

Top Job Russ, glad that turbo was a good one mate!

Anyone heard of BB Performance Tuning?

As above BBPT were a tuner of fives back in the day, they rebranded to Engine Dynamics a number of years ago so I don't think the clio your looking at has had it's belts done recently.

    Daniels Blue 182.

I spent £780 quid at Dave Mac Propshafts for a set of custom Motorsport waisted driveshafts. Apparently they will flex up to 90 degrees before they snap and they help take some of the shock loading off the drive train. After the agro I had at lower power settings with the JC5 gearbox I figured...

    172 Cup Turbo low compression?

Can't remember it was from work.

    172 Cup Turbo low compression?

That is low for stock comp. When I had wossner 8.5:1 pistons in mine it was 145psi on each cylinder

    Daniels Blue 182.

Just had a read through nice job mate. Welcome to the elite 1*2 F4RT+ND0 club. Driveshaft wise when you remove it inspect the triple bearing as the symptoms your describing are the same as when it fails.

    Successful turbo conversions

Mines still going strong, apart from a snapped hose joiner I've never had an engine problem and that's at Low pressure on standard comp, 260bhp low comp, 341bhp and 374bhp. Only issues Ive had were gearbox related on the JC5 which varied from spitting the cv clip out to stripping complete gears...

    The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy

Can't believe you've gone for the 3" motorsport slash cut tail pipes, I was quite happy having the only Trophy out there with them...... Good to see some progress mate, had mine out the other day it's an absolute beast still, your gonna love it when it's done.

    Megane brake pads - opinions?

I didn't find any contamination on the discs with the ds3000s. But the DS2500s were awful for it on the AP 2 piece.

    Megane brake pads - opinions?

I tried quite a few sets on both mine and my little bro's R26s. OE, HC and AP 2 piece discs. PF, DS2500, DS3000, DS 1.11 and DS Uno. The best combo were HC discs with DS3000 pads, admittedly I could destroy a set of pads on a trackday if pushing on, but for feel and consistency they were the...

    Megane 225 powered 172 cup.

I've got the same weep, it's pretty annoying but with a winter build on the cards I'm happy to leave it. Pretty sure it's the crank seal or the crank seal insert needs resealing. Reno have a special tool for inserting the crank seal but I'm sure it's around £150

New project. Megane engined RS200 road car.

I keep looking at doing a similar project. I was going to drop a 250 engine in my r26 but one of my mates made an offer on my Meg so I'm sitting on quite a few parts..... OE 250 turbo Hybrid TD04HL 20t SMF fly wheel Custom 6 puk friction plate R26R pressure plate R26 drive shafts 250 engine...

    Megane 225 powered 172 cup.

250 inlet won't fit. The ports are huge compared to a 225 head. They do have a great fuel set up though. A walbro 255lph pump will work fine in the OE sender unit but it will drain the sender unit really quick. When cornering the fuel in the tank sloshes around, to counter this they have a...

    Megane 225 powered 172 cup.

Yeah you will need to mod the mounting points. Think you might have to tweak it a little but it's been a few years since I last saw one used.

    Megane 225 powered 172 cup.

Looking good mate. For the chassis rail I just applied some heat and used a ball pein hammer to create the required space. TBH it didn't need very much manipulation. I'm also using clio top mounts but opted for vibratechnics fast road mounts. Race ones were horrendous. My rear mount is a...

    Megane 225 Engined Clio

It's been for sale for ages now. Personally I'd give it a wide berth as it'll be a nightmare to sell on. There was a guy sold a 2011 Clio 200 with a fully forged 230 engine, hybrid turbo, r26 gear box, fully uprated fuel system. Loads of receipts etc from RSTUNING and all he got was £9250. The...
