Mounts have just been changed 3000miles ago.
Agreed that the gb won't take a turbo.
Will look into improve the air flow in & out as you mention. Thank you! ;)
I was only looking for a "cheap" way of having more bhp, but it seems it will prove to be more complicated than what I thought at first. Will probably stick to the regular 182 engine of a crashed car or something of the like. Cheers for the info, everyone!
Agreed.
edit: 100th post =)
thanks maupineda, but I would definitively have to make a new map for the ECU and God knows what else... I want to know not if someone would do it, but if someone that has done it can give me some light into what issues to expect for the swap... I am not experienced (or properly funded) for...
But, does the gb fit -fact-? or just maybe? has somebody done it before?
Regarding the engine, I was aware of the wiring problems, but has somebody done it -again, fact-?
It would be great for knowing the actual problems I am about to face.
Cheers!
Unfortunately, I would like to have it around Madrid, Spain, which is where the car will be fixed (hopefully). Shipping could be costly from UK...
Fred, a bit more light into that statement, please?
Thanks both anyway. ;)
Hi all,
I recently changed my timing belt and it broke after 3k miles. I'll probably kill the mechanic who did it, but first I want my daily car to be fixed.
Since I need a new engine, I was looking for a swap to a 197/200 used engine. If the g'box can be addapted that would be great too...
I tried Green on OEM box and afterwards ITG and didn't notice any gains... but first, when I tried the Green it seemd it "breathed" a bit better,a bit livelier. Also, it added a discreet bark when you hit it below 4k ;)
I actually believe that, speaking about acceleration, Mégs are always faster than Clios... I've seen it myself...
And yes, 1-2 seconds is a lot to me;)
Precisely THAT is a 182 FF with cupped suspenssion (172 + 10bhp for free 'til out of stock, lol!) ... which I was about to recommend him... no turinis OE, thou:dapprove:
BTW, I own a 182CUP:o and I say its the best too!:rasp:
Exactly the same reason why I picked up the CUP... and, by the...
problems mainly where that I didn't know the road and my Pirelli Pzero Neros gripped as s**t, so couldn't count on them...
most proffesional opinion I've read by now;)
it will pass...
believe me, I know...;) ... in a couple of months you'll be back being the tailgater... anyway, enjoy while it lasts... specially for your wallet!
those first two pics are mine, taken with my mobile phone..., I hit a barrier on the motorway doing 70 or something...sleepy morning fellas...:o... now, I admitted it, didn't I?:o ... just a few scratches that with a polish went practically off...but then again I wanted to fix those little...
The torque curve is a bit irregular and inconstant...(look at 3k...) and the idle is highly raised... how about a stock ECU idle, and a flatter, more linear and less peaky results??
If you click on the previous button on the link above, you'll see a 172 graph... but the curves are very...
don't they? :S ... now that's odd... anyway, we don't get the yellow sirius here too...
which w'd have been my choice, had I been given the oportunity...
Anyway, could anybody help me? next year I may go to study to liverpool, and I wanna have my car there, since I know I can't live...
