Just fitted my Ashley Competition Exhaust to my 2003 FF172. Its LOUD - really LOUD!

Just ordered my cat back Ashley Competition Exhaust for my 2003 172. Only 145 inc delivery. Should have it fitted by the end of next week - Anyone got one already?

Thinking of changing my 2003 172 for a Series 1 Lotus Elise.. I've driven an Elise and thought it was awesome - but how much more awesome 0-06 and 0-100 is it than a slightly modified 172??

My wheels had a few small scuffs in them - (thanks to my wife!) so secided to give them a refurb... What do you think??

hi when porting and polishing my inlet manifold i noticed that the cylinder head is grooved. will porting this make much of a difference or are the grooves there for a reason?

hi. Just wanted to know if anyone has an ASHLEY exhaust fitted to a phII 172. My centre section is shot to bits - rattles at 4k, but i'm too tight to spend out big bucks on a new one. Have seen one on potn.com for 152.99 - what do you guys think....

Blue 172 CUP spotted in Winchester turning into the NHS building off Romsey Road. Looking good mate, very clean - you should spend more time getting itr dirrrty!!

bits done so far.... ported and polished inlet manifold custom carbon fibre ik with silicone elbow and cold air feed silvertechs front and rear PI springs (25mm front, 15mm rear) just need a full custom exhaust with decat followed by a remap and i'll be done,, here are some just cleaned...

after a day in the workshop i've finally finished porting and polishing the inlet manifold to my 03 172. re fitted it and taken it for a quick test drive. its AWESOME!!! and saved myself about 200 quid!! who said it was the job of professionals......:rasp:

hi, i've got some new springs to fit to my 03 172. (front) - whats the best way of removing the top bolts - i see that people say that i should use an impact driver, but im too tight and would rather buy a spanner. would a 21mm swan neck and hex key work? (rear) - is it necessary to remove...

help please. i've had my car to pieces today trying to remove the inlet manifold. not a huge problem but there is one bolt that i cant work out how to remove. there's not enough gap for a socket etc..

URGENT!! I'm in the process of taking my inlet manifold off my 03 172. I've taken most of the bolts out but there is one last one on the drivers side that i cannot get too!! looking directly at the engine its on the left side and bolts along the manifold.. how do i get this sucker out!!

Hi, I know its been done to death on here but i want an idiots guide to porting my inlet manifold on my '03 172... What tools do i need? How long will it take? When will i know that i've taken enough off? Any do's and don't....? Any help would be appriciated - will be looking at doing it...

Hi, I'll be fitting some new springs to my 172 next week. is it worth adding new bushes whilst the wheels are off - if so any suggestions who to go for and who to aviod??!! cheers
