Gary, you cannot live map over OBD!
1. Serial programming mode will be corrupted if you try to run the engine.
2. While the engine is running checksum checks are being run all the time . If you try to change any content , before you finish a sum another check happens, ECU content fails the...
I'd hope anyone changing cams also replaces the belt while they're at it, common sense to do so really unless anyone is cutting cornewrs, but reason why they should.
Book time on a cambelt change is 5 hrs and on a cam change is 7.5hrs at your main dealer apparently.
Fred I think you have some bad information there.
All the F1 teams do not outsource any engine components anymore, things have changed in the last few years, so it's hardly a valid claim, lets keep all claims valid and non bs eh!
Yeah you need to be careful on those, we usually wind the torque down on htose, the gearboxes aren't cheap either, so be wary who you get to chip it, remember any chip is detectable despite some of the claims!
There's is only one way that is undetectable and thats to reflash to standard on...
Check out my site, we're the sole uk supplier for Abt tuning.
With regards to power figures they're bound by the same strict measuring restrictions as the manufacturers so you'll see realistically the same power as those other companies who hike there figures right up!
Any rolling road regardless of whether it is new or old is only as accurate as it's last calibration, Maha are widely renowned as the best rolling roads, always good to note the cooling setup used by the facility and worth noting how they check/implement any ambient temperature and barometric...
The standard filters are fine if not better than alot of the aftermarket stuff, I'm sure the aftermarket filter manufacturers will tell you otherwise though, funny that.... :)
It's a big problem in our industry as there is no regulation and to be honest alot think it's true still as their supplier tells them that, we work closely in the UK with Abt Sportsline in Germany who have a direct connection with Audi so not a problem if you take the Abt route, manufacturer...
No need to change the panel filter on the VAG stuff, they make superb airboxes that will flow enough to about 350bhp till you need to consider changing it :)
Whoever told you that wasn't being honest I'm afraid, the Bosch ME9 system can be updated via main dealers, if the software in it isn't original they can tell! Too many VAG tuners claim undetectability unfortunately....
Even ME7 OBD style tunes can be detected unless they're reflashed to...
The Bosch ME7-1.8T and ME9-2.0T FSI systems are both closed loop, so if you vent any air from the system to atmosphere it confuses the system as it's lost a load of air, will cause no end of running problems. Some of the early OEM bosch valves were prone to fail and an uprated recirculating type...
I think you'll find most the staff have left AmD that used to be there, Geoff the founder left a few yrs ago, then I left, then Craig went back to Wayside, Amanda and Mark left not longer after, then Scott left and went to Oz, and finally about a month ago all the Nathan and the top mechanics...
Dude, it's 'you're a' not 'your' not only are you a shandy drinker but you can't spell either! ;)
And yes I am a pimp... Why? Are you after some? I'm sure Bex won't approve :rasp:
It depends whether they are flashing a section of the EPROM contents or reflashing the whole contents based on the ECU type/software version, some tools do it in different ways, also depends if the operator has just used an old file or modified yours, they may not realise one of the changes in...
Cruise control function is coded in the ECU, it's just a little line of data or two, you can add the function to non cruise control cars with the hardware a little wiring and a few bytes changed ;)
I'm looking into offering maybe switchable tuning on the 182, so you could switch between a...
Once the battery has been fully charged the car should start initially whether the alternator connection is faulty or not, measuring the voltage in a non load situation can be misleading, if the battery has screw tops, which many don't now as they're sealed you can look in and see if the plates...
