Im am sooo glad Dunc and I eventually managed to make this meet. Was nice to see a couple of new faces and was good to finally meet Brian. :)
Thanks Sarah for arranging this, and a huuuuge THANK YOU to your friend who did a spanking job on my bonnet! I loved watching him remove all the dents...

I'd have a 197 any day, but the rest of the MK3's are horrible. I drove a 1.6 Dynamique S and hated the darn thing. It felt liike a slow wallowy old bus. MK3's? No thanks!
When I was looking for a new car (8 years ago now), I narrowed it down to, a Saxo VTR, a Fiesta Zetec, or a Clio. The Saxo soon got pushed to one side and I seriously considered the Fiesta, but at the end of the day, value for money came into play and I decided to get the Clio and I wasnt...
I had the same problem with 5th gear in an old Renault I used to have. Turned out that the gear linkage had moved and just needed adjusting. I'd try that if I were you. It also happened to my 1.4 RT Alize I had a while back.
I hope this is in the right place, if not can a Mod move it please?
Right, today whilst out in the rain, I had water coming in around the sunroof switch. I have opened the sunroof but all appears dry and well where it sits. I have however found a tiny little hole in the seal where the top...
I don't see as it matters how many cars you have outside as long as they are legal and not getting in anyones way. We have two on the road at the moment and two in our drive. We did have three on the road when we still had the other Meggy. We do however make sure we don't park in other peoples...
I don't think I ever scared my Mum when she was in my car. She was known for telling me to 'put my foot down abit'. Sadly she is no longer around so I can't do that anymore.
My Dad is a different matter altogether. He has a Magane 2ltr RXE and quite often comes and tells me how he has booted...
I get my trusted garage to do my services. I get good prices and my service book stamped, which in my opion is a must if I ever want to sell her. I will be booking her into Rentech for her cam belt change too.
I think they look quite smart mate. Good on you for being different .
As for insurance, you might want to check out Admiral. They don't have any problems with mods, although I am not sure if there is an age limit.
I rather like pic 12 (one with Sarahs car) that I took where someone appears to have lost their haed. Hahaha.
Cat, The Exige belongs to a friend / customer of Ollie1982. Darn nice motor!
Excellent meet. Darn good turn out. Good pics guys.
Here are mine. Apologies for making abit of a mess when blocking out number plates, have shakey hands today. lol
My 1.6 is an import. I bought it new and knew it didnt have an alarm or locking wheelnuts, iit does have the window etchings though and it came with two years warranty instead of three. It is a UK spec car so it makes absolutely no difference at all, not to me , nor the insurance company (who...
Yep, I like that look. very nice.
Totally agree with that. If my wheels got marked whilst my tyres were being changed I would not walk away, I'd make them pay for the repairs. That's what I call sloppy work.
