I could do with one for towing a small trailer, my car will tow 800 kg braked or so it says in the owners manual. What would they be from a scrapyard and i just wondered if all the electrics are on the car already so it will just plug in.
Thanks
Jack the wheel up and give everything a good shake and get a bar in there as well to check the bushes. Everything will wear quicker as you have lowered it because the geometry has moved.
Hope this helps

I had to do the same but with 2 tonnes of tractor on the baljoint as m grandad hit it in the wrong place with the hammer. I use i hammer instead of a ball joint splitter works just aswell and you do not have to go and buy a special tool.

It could be any number of reasons. Is it just reverse it does this in if not then it could be the release bearing if you did not get a new one fitted at the same time or it could be it is sticking or has not been installed correctly such as too tight or not being centred on the shaft very well...
i know how much of a b**** it is to do as i had to change my oil filter and engine oil and p*** about poking around in my doors to sort the central locking problem.
Matt
i will be doing it myself as i am a mechanic and i don't have much else to do
i don't want to loose oil pressure as i will have to get another car and i can't afford to at the moment.
Matt
Are the tyres balanced and is the toe in corect aas well as the camber angle (less likely to be the camber angle though) ask a tyre fiter to check it is balanced as it is the easiest way.
Hope this helps

Is it on the second catch if so if you open it as far as you can you may be able to unscrew the catch from the bottom of the bonnet - may be worth a try not really had much to do with this model.
Matt
Does anyone know of a kit for this car that allows me to put in an oil pressure guage and hopefully one that is reasonably cheap and accurate.
Thanks
Matt
I can't seem to find one for this car. Can you get front and rear strut braces as i think the suspension is rubbish with the torsion bar setup on the back end.
If i can't seem to find one reasonably cheaply i will have to weld one up and make a new one (custom).
Thanks
Matt
Did my two back doors in just over an hour take the trim off you will need torx bits and spray wd40 or equivilent on the moving parts so where the bars go into the look and the pull lock move it uo and down a few times and when it works properly lock and unlock it a couple of times and put the...
i only paid 35 a pair for my clio mk1 ones and fitted em my self. The exhaust rubber should be easy to fit yourself just a bit of a pain.
Never done an engine mount so i don't know
Matt
You can have a look your'e self just give it a hrad shake and if it moves in the wrong places consider tightening it up. I seem to remember they do not have lock nuts due to the nylon melting i won't hurt and you may save yourself a bit of money.
Matt
How do you remove the interior door trim from the front and back doors as i my central locking is not working correctly so i think it needs lubricating?
Matt
Pictures would help here
You may be able to get it with some stilsons if you cannot get it with a socket or a spanner
Don't reuse the bolts as they will be waekened by the heat and the cold changes otherwise they may snap off next time.
Matt
It shouldn't burn any, the only time it does is when there is a leak or dofgy headgasket or piston and or rings, if oil cannot enter the bores then it should not burn any.
Matt
It depends on the dent as long as there are no sharp creases and it is not too big you can use a suction type dent removal tool. like this:

To check the wheel bearings jack the front wheel off the ground, spin and listen and then try to move the wheel up and down, if it dos then it is the wheel bearing. It probably is get it sorted. I've heard of bearins weldign themselves to the stub axle and then the car veers sharply to one...
Now that is low!
I was told by a mechaniac that if you hit the clutch fork it will snap it clean off it no messing or bending. And on my car a right pig to change.
I think mine needs to be lifted rather than lowered due to the horrendous state of the roads i often drive on and i sometimes go...
