Whenever I start the car, the front wipers do one sweep of the windscreen and I have no idea why? The automatic wipers are turned to position 0, but even when on shouldn't do this. It's only happened in the last few months, and has got progressively worse up to now where it does it every single...

The Sportster CS can come with either no airbags or side airbags, like the original 182 seats. Easiest option is no airbags and when fitting the seats use airbag resistors on the original airbag-seat loom (very simple to do). I know you can get a kit to hook the CS airbags to the original loom...
I used to think this as it what I read/was told about 5 years ago. Haven't really thought about it much since but it did cross my mind when I bought the 182. I'm guessing it's no longer/never was an MOT requirement to have rubber bits.
I've had my car featured in Redline and TVX plus some German magazine.
Got some great photos out of them, lots of pages, quite good write ups (even though I wrote most of the TVX one myself and the journalist took credit) but overall I felt thoroughly used by them :dapprove: Once they'd used...
As said above - turn it on with the power button and then ---- should appear on the display. If not, check the connections behind the stereo - it may be you have knocked a connection loose when pushing it in the gap.
You don't need to put any more resistors in the drivers side than the passengers - one each side.
The extra wires under the drivers side are for the reed swich on the seat rail and the seat belt light. It could be you have used these wires in place of the airbag wires. Try changing them around...
182 - 8/10
Few bits I have prefered in other cars which if sorted could add another point - driving position should be lower, dead on cold start, rattles etc
I actually feel like an idiot. :o
I've looked through all the documents so many times for the code and really don't know how I've missed it.
Thank you!
I have the Radio/CD fitted from factory and as I have to disconnect the battery in a few days (seat fitting) I need it's code.
I don't want to give Renault £20 for 3 minutes work and seem to remember someone on here can help get them?
Any help would be much appreciated :)
It's fairly easy to remove the outer changer casing - 6 or so screws and I think 1 which holds the plug unit in place. Then just bend slightly the casing on one side in an outwardly direction and you should be able to wiggle the internal part out. Now you should have visble the obstructing...
Not sure what to suggest without more details.
Does it 'click' into the changer? Is it just the CDs are not reading? Is something blocking inside the changer? - the actual insertion of the cartridge is purely mechanical so shouldn't be effected unless something is in the way.
*edit* This is...
I've just bought one, waiting for it to be delivered.
I'd really like harnesses but want to retain rear seats and also with the seat belt warning light, these seemed the next best thing.
