Yeah I'm aware of that, retest is only £15. It's just that I've got one fail for the tyres from one garage (which are changed) and another for the brakes and stuff from the other garage, I'm obviously gonna go for the cheapest option which is the first garage. Will the second fail from the...
Spot on Lads. Just found the article, wish I had a bloody printer! Ha Ha. I did do a search but there was nothing about it being seized or anything. Just been out to spray wd40 on it, no point really cause it's not attached to anything. Anyone know the crack about my second question, about...
Alright Guys, need some advice from you. The cup just failed it's Mot for the brake load sensing valve linkage being seized and both rear brakes recording little or no effort.
The cups don't have a linkage i'm sure so how can it be seized?
And would that account for the poor rear braking...
Sunday afternoon about 2pm. Seen the cup parked up at the garage, didn't spot the reg or if it had a CS sticker. Spotted the red full fat just coming into the town off the dual carriageway.
My mate made some up for me at his work. Took 2 minutes to fit and it's stopped the Knocking. Been in the car now for about a month. Quality advice, Cheers Fred
My local garage opened the bonnet, looked at it for 30 secs and said be about an hours work plus parts. But a servicing and aux belt change for between £160-£180 cant be bad.
Ha i know, just checked my handbook the now and it's there in black and white. Makes me wonder why i used to take the cup there in the first place. The guy even showed me the sheet where it say's change on 72k!
Alright guys, just wanted your opinion really. My cars due it's 36k soon and i'm not sure about this aux belt change. renault are adament that I don't have to change it till 72k, but the cliosport guide (excellent by the way!) advises to change it at the 36k. Whats the definitive answer...
Not sure if it was tinted, prob was. looked really nice as it spanked the CTR. Must have been about 15s or there about for the 1/4 mile. think he just went home after that run, about midday?
You'll get that in most cars at that speed. The clio's not really built aerodynamicaly for that speed, it will do it but thats mainly due to the brute power of the engine. I wouldn't worry about it.
Get one. had mine 3.5 years now from new. Only thing thats gone wrong is the exhaust fell off and I burst a rear damper. And it managed to give my mate in the elise a fright on the run to Skye and back. Bang for buck you cant go wrong
i'll come for a meet. that will make a hat-trick of cups then. G man i've only seen you once at the claypotts lights, couldn't catch you cause of traffic. I've met a4ndy tho in the overgate
Aye It is. Thought I was the only one with a cup for a while. Good to have met you tho Andy. We need to get the other CS members out for a meet sometime. I know Sargey lives in Arbroath, seen the car about in the town. He might come through.
Cheers fred. Aye it's out of warranty. Do you know how long i'll get out of it? Was thinking about the koni adjustables on your site or just putting OEM rear ones back on it. Don't know how long i'll be keeping the car.
Alright people. Just spotted my rear drivers side damper is leaking. Anyone know how long till it totally fails? I've got a cup if that helps, also does anyone know of some good dampers to change them with, may as well change all 4 and be done with it. Your help will be much apprieciated
Being followed by my mate in a red elise and me in the cup. Followed you from Fort William till the turn off to Kyle of Lochalsh. Didn't see a sticker. Was on saturday about 4-4.30pm
Where about in arbroath you from? I'm usually back on the weekends. Ill give you a wave the next time I see you. I'm from cairnie originally. The lass lives at Kirkton.
Don't really see what the camber of the road has to do with it. Even on the perfectly flat 'road' I have at work it still locks up, even in the dry but not as much as in the wet
Yeah I find that too. Well happy not to carry passengers. Just a little off topic, but I noticed that my front left wheel locks up before my right under heavy braking without a passenger, but is fine with a mate in the passenger seat. Anyone else noticed this?
