I have the RS192. Very nice quality, but very very quiet. I wanted a quiet pipe and was holding out for a Milltek, but couldn't cut a good deal. With the cat in, it is a bit quieter than even I wanted though! I like loud pipes, but not on hot hatches as they end up sounding more chavvy than cool...

Looked totally standard - both cup packs. He was following me, then pulled up next to and slightly in front at the lights. Wasn't a Yozza system and didn't look like Janspeed, Milltek or Scorpion(have that on mine) either.

With a £4K budget it's not really confusing - you are looking at a Mk2 172, or a 172 Cup. Cup is 90 kg lighter and like the Lotus Elise of the Clio world. 172, has luxuries, bit heavier and a less sharp chassis. Day to day, more liveable and a nicer place to be. Any £4K 182 variant would 99%...

My 172 Cup was noticeably quicker than my 182FF, but then everyone with an RS that went in it used to say it felt particularly healthy. The only mod was a Ktech stealth and it used to keep up with my mate's standard ITR DC5 to 100mph which seemed impressive. Difficult to compare now as his DC5...

Just been there and they are doing 182 sizes, 205/45/R16 in 149mph speed rating for £323.20 for 4 fitted - awesome. They are £101 each fitted if you just want 1 or 2. Just a shame mine have a little too much left even after yesterday's track day to warrnat buying them now.

I'd use the RSTuner solution (www.fastchip.nl) rather than Ktec solution for a re-map from what I've read. Cheaper and you get the option to map yourself and future custom map with other mods. I just ordered one - thanks for sorting out the discount Rich. Not bothered about extra bhp, but from searching threads it seems it increases the area under the torque and power curves which should hopefully make the 182 feel as grunty as my old light weight 172 Cup did im the mid range.

Absolutely - more than BDA Fords or any other this sends shivers down you spine. You still see them in action fairly often at Hill Climb events. Only the Group B Audi's compete for absolute Aural heaven.

18-21mpg on track days in my old 172 Cup. I thought that was pretty good, seeing as my Elise got 15mpg on track and my modded Cossie, 7.5mpg on track (worth it for the flames alone!)
