Re: f**kin break in!!
Just about every motor i've ever owned has been broken into or damaged. Even had a couple disappear without a trace. I've lost stereos, tools and even wages as that weeks worksheets were in my van when it went. Makes you sick to the pit of your stomach.
I got em good...
Key fits all other locks on the car, tried the wd40, no joy as yet. I've had the lock out but could not get the barrel out of the lock assembly. Breakers wont sell me just a boot lock, gotta buy a whole lock set!
You may have burnt out the internal amp in the HU. I had this before although it was one side rather than fronts. Have you checked the fader? Not one of yr pals pissing about with it? I'd perhaps try swapping all connections round so front outlets are driving rear speakers, rear outlets driving...
Just fitted a new JVC headunit in my 1.2RL to find that firstly the standard speakers are poo, also no rear ones fitted. Now the multiplug on the cars loom appears to have enough wires in it for four speakers yet i can't see them in the bootspace, anyone know where they'll be? The wires that is...
Well new headlight in!! Haynes manual said remove bumper & bonnet, not likely! Managed to squeeze it in without doing any damage although it didn't fit as well as the original, spose that's pattern parts for ya! Unsure whether it needs setting up on the headlight machine that you get at the MOT...
I'm gonna attack it tomorrow. Looks straight forward to swap over. My only concern is the adjustable beam bit, not sure if it's supposed to be on a certain setting before you connect up - anyone know? Advise would be great!!
LUCK!! Wots that? I'm the unluckiest chap in the world wiv motors. Done less than 100 miles in the car, headlight glass falls off middle of road at 30mph, i wouldn't mind so much but i was going uphill!!:D
Odd John, bad design obviously, lens must be stuck in with non waterproof gear and no retaining clips, it's a renault, obviously it don't rain in france!:dapprove:
Listen m8, if you rant & rave enough they'll do that for free. It was their shoddy workmanship what caused the problem. Wot if they do a job under warranty, they don't have to do it properly or give the standard 1 years guarantee? ffing turd necks, threaten em with watchdog, that'll spur em into...
Well it looks like i've tracked down a new headlight, best price i've found was £43 inc the vat - not too bad considering renault wanted sixty odd plus the vat! Bloody strange how the glass just fell out though!! So all i need now is a parcel shelf and work out why the boot lock don't work then...
U want a motor factors. Where are you? U should find a factors that does pattern parts, save you a fortune. Renault dealers should wear balaclavas the robbing b******s:rasp:
Hi folks, I was just driving down the road when i saw a flash & heard breaking glass. Pulled over, got out & looked at front of car - no glass in drivers headlight!! It appears to have just fallen out, is this a common fault? Is it possible to buy a replacement glass seperately or has it gotta...
Firstly a big hi to everyone, i've just bought my first Clio as a non runner. Just rebuilt the head following cam belt failure and changed loads of other bits. Car now up & running and i could do with a little help to solve a couple of small faults.
Indicators on drivers side flashing at twice...
Mine broke at 68900 miles. Recently read an interesting article on the Honestjohn website that said u should do the belt, tensioner & waterpump every 36000 miles without fail on the D7F engine. I have just done a major overhaul on mine, 8 new valves, valve stem oil seals, cam oil seal, skimmed...
Sounds like a valve to me. Have u had the head off? I've just rebuilt the head on a D7F, 8 valves, valve stem oil seals, cam oil seal, all new gaskets, skimmed the head, waterpump, timing belt & tensioner and done the thermastat while it was in bits. Running fab now!! Cost me about £270 to do...
