Quick question, do I need to change the crank bolt on a 197 when changing the belts (the bolt that holds the pulley on? I looks like its a stretch bolt? Thanks :)
I've replaced all the washers, bolts and cups on the manifold/decat joint. The old cups were so rusted the boltes kept slipping through. Anyway I've done the bolts right up and wondered if the springs were ok as they look a little compressed?
Sorry for the poor iPhone pic up I was laying...
After having the Catcams fitted to the 182 and remap done @ TDF I've been looking at a change to the induction system. After doing lots of research on different website (CS included) I was leaning towards a Carbon enclosed kit.
A friend of mine has a 182 thats off the road for a few weeks...
I'm booked in with Fred in April to have a set of catcams fitted to our 182, the plan was to then get down to TDF for a remap. The question is should I bother getting a de cat pipe fitted at the same time?
The car already has a custom cat back system so the noise it kicks out is fine. I'm...
Given with whats been done, and what will be done to our 182 over the next 2 months I thought I'd put up a progress thread
As some of you may know the cars previous owner was Bubbles, we brought it in October 2007. Bubbles did a great job of looking after it, but me being me needed it...
Got a small problem with our 182. I removed the upper part of the intake manifold today to try and find out why theres oil on the rocker cover. I put it all back together, and when I fired it up the revs went sky high so I turned it straight off. I'm a little confused as I did exactly the same...
I been out in the 182 this morning for a test drive after changing the thermostat. Everything working great again apart from the rear nearside wheel. I'm getting a grinding noise coming from it when I turn right. Now I had this about the same time last year, I changed the rear bearing (which...
Our 182 seems to have developed a few little problems in the last week or 2 and just wondered if any one could shed some light on them or point me in the right driection of what to look for.
1st problem is economy, generally speaking the computer sits at 33mpg (it does a mix of driving). On a...
After spending the weekend detailing the 197 and given I haven't posted any for a while I thought I'd get some pics up.
I gave it a full detail and wanted to get it sealed up for the winter so this is what I did.
Removed the wheels, cleaned them inside and out then waxed them.
Washed the car...
I recently broke a wheel bolt on the 182 trying to remove it (tyre fitter wound it in soo tight). When I took it too my local garage after my unsucessful attempts to remove it they imformed me the bolts were the wrong sort. The bolts I had were a single piece but it should have had the 2 piece...
I spent the day yesterday fitting a set of Spax coil overs to our 182 with cup suspension ;) and sorted a few other little issues while I was at it like a non working handbrake. After getting it all done I thought given the weather it would be a shame not to give it a good clean and get some...
I have noticed over the last few weeks that when I put the 182 into reverse the rear wiper cycles once:S
it doesn't do it all the time, probably 80% of the time though, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
The rear dampers on our 182 are shot so I thought it would be a good time to fit a coilover kit. I have been finding out that trying to find a kit for a 182 with the cup suspension is more than a little difficult unless you have £1000+.
I was hoping to spend around £800 max and pick up a set...
Gem was driving the 182 to work this morniing when one of the engine management lights started flashing (the one in the bottom right near the speedo). I went down to have a look and listen and it's not running well.
When its on tick over the revs are constantly going up and down as if its...
Hello
Just wanted to make all you R27 owners aware that there is now a fully functional register for them on http://www.clio197.net we are trying to get as many cars on it as we can to keep a track of them.
This site is not to be confused with clio197.com which so many of you registered on...
A few weeks ago I stupidly bumped our LY 182 and cracked the rear bumper and rear light:oops:
We picked it up from the bodyshop last night I have to say the work is great, we have used them before so I trusted him to do the best he could.
They have made a really good job of it and got the...
Just wondered what induction kits people have been fitting to their 182's
I want to put one on ours and would like to know which gives the best results:)
Hi
I know its not a clio, but our Corsa has had a light come on the dashboard. I plugged in a diagnostic tool and got a code, P0170 "fuel trim". The car seems to be running/ticking over ok and I was doing 70mph on the motorway when the light came on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Right had too much time on my hands this weekend so thought I'd give both our cars a good detailing. Some of you will already know the 182 we brought off bubbles a few weeks ago.
The 182 was a little bit more work, but looks stunning now. Gave it a full goin over including removing the wheels to...
sorry if i'm asking a question that has been put on here loads of times before, but I'm looking for a 182 and need to know exactly what to look for.
I want a 182, with the cup pack whcih I beleive is the "full fat" vaersion?
Does the FF version have the twin tailpipes in the middle or is...
