cleaned the EGR only with some de-greaser. I've had issues with it before kicking out smoke but never loosing power like this before or misfiring, only seems to do it now and again though

Sorted it, drained the coolant, was proper minging and did an oil change, then reno had the cheek to say i had the wrong colour coolant when I took it in to have the bonnet catch replaced yesterday!!! It runs a hell of a lot better now anyways! :)

Had a good look at it and invested in the Haynes Manual for the Clio lmao Gonna replace the seals on the oil cooler and drain the coolant, seeing as it's never been done and i'm on 108k Nothing is leaking underneath the car, oil levels are fine (doing an oil change too) and the temp gauges are...

Just come home from work an my engine started to rattle when im changin gear on the dci, opened the bonnet an theres a slight layer of black s**t in the engine coolant and it stinks like fish, gonna let the engine cool down and check the oil for mayo crap but i'm s**t scared of drivin to work...

I've only just started drivin her hard, i'll see how it goes while i'm doin that. I did the EGR valve about a month ago, altho by the aluminium pipe u mean the connecting one to the EGR valve? Didn't bother with that, could be worth looking into though ;)

Cleaned the EGR valve a few weeks back and changed the fuel filter, still gettin a big black soot mark on the floor when i push the accelerator right down, I'm not sure if thats really normal :S thinkin maybe the fuel injectors want sorting, or maybe I should really put some more thought into...

Lookin for a new set of front brake pads, got shitty halfrauds ones on at the mo, can hear me braking miles away the squeelin their doin! Got a feeling they're sticking too. Will prob get the back drums sorted while I'm at it too!

did it today with my dad ;) was sooty as fook lol replaced the diesel filter too, works a treat! Even better with the BP Ultimate Diesel stuff. Just need to find a good deal on a cam and aux change now :D

Update: didnt need Holdcrofts, worked out had some nice dregs outta the pumps at Asda, the clio has given up smokin, so gonna replace the fuel pump and get the EGR valves cleaned ;)

Its black smoke, get a whole exhaust pipe full when u rev it hard, it doesn't loose power or anything just smokier than it should be, im sure he said he checked the EGR system, I've a feeling it could be the CAT, Turbo sounds fine, no unusual noises, just the normal sound when it kicks in. I'm...

Took my dci down to Potteries Diesel this mornin, started smoking last night when cold outta the exhaust :dapprove: guys took the air system apart, that's fine, got a whole exhaust pipe of smoke comin out when acceleratin hard, so either the turbo or the cat? Trying to get it into Holdcroft...

Spotted this morning as I drove past, came off the 500 for stoke, around 9am ;)

I think I should take it off, whoever the first owner dude was put it on :S
