hey riiiiiight i used to have a 172 and although i loved it i was always panicking something was going to go wrong i always the thought the engine sounded 'lumpy' like even in the car i could hear it running and its just sounded loud.... anyway nothing ever did go wrong and i managed to listen...

got mine in 3 weeks .. im expecting it to cost a fortune !

sorry another ' whats this noise' question but i really am getting fed up with this now - car has made weird noise since i got it sort of ticking but also kind of whiney its coming from drivers side can hear it clear from in the car and obv louder with bonnet up , i dont think its the carbon...

the dent in the door theres always something wrong with it the fact iv replaced the aux belt and tensioners and its STILL squealing

i have tried searching for previous posts however anyone any pics of 172's on 17's pref lowered im currently lowered 40mm on standard wheels but it hasnt gone as low as id hoped and as im currently thinking about some new alloys i dont want to be left with the monster truck effect so does...

apparently mine is an import ! only found out when rang renault for a part code and gave them my reg no.... mine 02 plate in black has cd changer and alarm also. seems to be nothing in handbook etc saying its imported and the dealer didnt tell me when i bought it!! ? :S

i didnt get the belts done at dealer though they only tightened up my aux belt and said that was what the noise was not the water pump. since then had belts changed elsewhere ( as obviously there not covered by warranty) and the noise carries on..!

ok bit of a story ..! had my 172 for just over 2 months so theres less than a months warranty left so really need stuff sorted! when i forst got the car it was making a swooshing noise from the engine bay i took it to a grage to get the aux and cambelt done and they said the waterpump was...
